The pizzas were AMAZING! I then regretted not taking up the buffet. Not to worry, we went back the next night. OH. MY. GOD! I went for the Tandoori Mix Grill (with Naan bread and dips). It's kind of gone downhill though. The food is nothing spectacular and I believe they had a health-infringement a while back. Lübeck friends told me it had been shut down or closed for a bit by health inspectors. I tend to stop in here when in Lübeck simply for sentiments sake but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to eat here. There are quite a few better restaurants in the area.

It's not extremely fancy inside but has sufficiently nice decor. Before the meal, two large pieces of papad are served to the table with mint & yogurt chutney and what I believe to be injipuli, and souf/funnel seeds are served after the meal to clear your palette. For my main course, I ordered chicken saag "extra spicy" with a side of tandoori naan. The entree also came with rice. I was satisfied with the level of spice in the saag, and I thought the dish was overall very flavorful and would certainly recommend ordering this here. The portion isn't enormous but certainly isn't small, so I was happy with the size. I had never ordered non-paneer saag and was pleasantly surprised with how great the dish tasted. The rice was definitely the best tasting rice I've had in Hamburg. I also thought the naan had a great texture after being oven baked and thoroughly enjoyed eating this with spinach and rice.

I was shocked that a person operating a restaurant in Germany can be this rude and unprofessional; never came across such unprofessionalism and arrogance in any shops/restaurants in Germany (Everyone in Germany offers receipt). He then asked me to wait outside. Around 15 minutes later, my food arrived. But there was no receipt inside the food packet either. The restaurant is cramped. The environment just outside the shop is pathetic. That road is filled with drug peddlers and addicts. I would have never visited the shop if I was aware of such a behaviour inside the shop, and the unsafe environment just outside the shop. Not worth visiting.
