When you open a store, you want your employees to be knowledgeable in what you are selling, correct? You want them to know the little 'terms' for services they offer. So you don't spend an extra 30 seconds trying to explain to them what the difference between a PickUp@Store and a PreOrder is. You want them to have a passion for what they sell, not just know the items and sell them.
This is the problem with this GameStop, I know this place is not in need of applicants. I mean, you browse around long enough you're bound to hear someone asking for an application. But they only seem to hire people who have no passion for the hobby, and don't even bother to learn how things work. You can visit the website and bang, already you're doing research on how this chain works.
Also, the lines here get incredibly long, and once they start to gather, it will be a long time before they disperse. If you're the type of person who's looking for an item that will most likely be in the back of the store, then you're better off looking somewhere else. GameStops are still being designed to serve one or two customers at a time.
I think the word GameStop should be synonymous with a gas station in the video game world. It can provide you with the latest games, and a quick go to for broken controllers, wires, and the odd game purchase. But if you want something specific, let's say, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary Edition on the PS3? Bets are you won't find a copy that will look like it's been through the mettle. read more
