After a couple minutes of struggle, the wait staff printed a copy of the menu in English for us. Each course was better than the last. Only two negatives... The dessert was a bit of a miss. A lemon meringue, the custard was to tart, and the almond cookie crust too salty. Also, the pace of dining was a bit rushed, and not the leisurely experience we've come to love about Spain. But those both were small complaints next to the wonderful dinner and incredible service. I sat down and ordered the nachos and a rib eye steak for main. The nachos are very different to what is served in Scotland of course so different to my usual but very good, much better than Scottish version of Doritos with lumps of cheese, salsa and guacamole but then that wouldn't be difficult! The main was brilliant. Not the best I've had but then that is reserved for the wagyu steak I had this time last year in the far East so not fair to compare to be honest. I managed to squeeze in a dessert as hadn't eaten all day and to be honest when it came I didn't want to disturb it as it looked so good on the plate! The flavours didn't disappoint either, simple banana pancakes it's seems aren't all that simple, presented exceptionally and tasting the same I can thoroughly recommend coming here. We had several servers greet us and checked on us frequently, but we never felt rushed. As a matter of fact, we spent roughly 2 and half hours breaking bread and enjoying each others company. The menu looked great! We were all hungry - the idea of waiting until 9:30 for dinner is a foreign concept for Americans. It was difficult to choose, but I finally decided on the ragu with pork in a red sauce with fresh mozzarella and rigatoni. It was spectacular. I was fresh and the sauce complimented the pasta well. My friends all went with pizza, which was my second choice. They all commented on how incredible everything was and I certainly agreed. There was six of us and wine was the preferred choice of beverage so we went with two local wines - a bottle of white and one red. I had the white wine - it was crisp and complemented my pasta well. After two and a half hours enjoying each other's company we were finally full, but still made room for gelato - just one serving with several spoons. One word to describe the dessert, delish. A great five star experience.
