Took my daughter here to look for used switch games. After being ignored waiting at the counter the guy finally acknowledges us and I ask if he has any more games. He points to where they are. When we start to look the guy says hey you look with your eyes and not with your hands and walked away. (Mind you these are in a closed glass case). I asked if he was serious and he said kinda. We immediately walked out after he tried to justify his comment. Prices looked way too high for used switch games and the employee guaranteed I won't ever be back. I had brought my xbox one in for repair. The disc drive wouldn't load discs. Gamer Room replaced the drive. It worked for about 4 months and now the drive won't read any discs. I called them back and they said there's only a 30 day warranty. I'm not sure what kind of cheap crap they use for replacement event parts but going there definitely was not worth it. At least UBreakIfix gives a one year warranty. read more

I literally stumbled into this place walking around Lincoln and I'm so happy I went inside. I've been looking for a copy of Ghost in the Shell for PS1 I've wanted to replace for years but the thrill of the hunt kept me from buying one online. After asking, they checked multiple areas of the store and actually were able to locate a pristine copy, with all of the inserts and a flawless jewel case. I was in shock! The price was higher than I would have liked but less than it should have been for the condition. While there I saw a couple of other rarer items I would also have been interested in, and there is a lot of inventory going all the way back through every console generation. If you are collecting I would highly recommend stopping in to see what they have. If I wasn't from out of town I would make this a regular stop for older hardware and games. Pretty sweet place! Their selection's surprisingly good for a secondhand store. They've got several shelves of DVD's and video games for every console going back a decade and a half, plus a few Blu-rays. They also sell a few game consoles and accessories. They're not a Blockbuster or a GameStop, so you may not find everything you're looking for, but you will find will be at a terrific price. I forget exactly but DVD's are typically like 8 bucks or so, Blu-rays are like 12 or 15 or something, and Wii and GameCube (yeah, I'm old school, sue me) games are like in the 10-20 range. The PlayStation and XBox games are probably more, and they've got a pretty good selection of everything. Except for Blu-rays, don't have too many of those, but they're always getting more stuff in. I must admit there is one thing I hate about them: The Buy 4 Get 1 Free deal. I've spent so much $$$ because of that damn deal! LOL. The staff is alright, they're pretty chill. The whole place is a really laid-back, bare bones video and game store. They even have cats walking around and chilling on top of the shelves. I'm pretty sure you can trade stuff in, but I think you just get store credit. Not too sure how that works, since I've never done it, but the people there'll tell you for sure. All in all, this is a great place to have just a few blocks down from the dorm. I've bought tons of movies and games here and I've never had a problem with the quality of what I've gotten. Great prices, you'll save over 50% by buying used! I got a nintendo switch pro controller for a third of the price a new one would cost. They test everything and don't sell anything that isn't in good condition. They will put an item on hold for you if you call the store, this is nice because you never know how many of an item they'll have in stock. Terrible place everything in here is broken or doesn't work and is put out on the shelves to be sold bought a laptop here got home wouldn't connect to WiFi took it to coffee shop wouldn't connect to WiFi took it to the library it connected and the store connected wasted $160 for it. I've bought stuff from here over the years and it either was broken infected with viruses or it crashed after two days using it or it quit working altogether like mine did. read more

There are multiple things that I DON'T like about this place. 1. Very Dirty; The shelving and the carpeting is very dirty, and it smells very bad inside. 2. Bad Employees; The employees are the kind that don't want to be there. It is very difficult to cooperate with them, as they turn you over to each other. 3. Ripoff; If they are offering me half of what GameStop is offering for buying my games, then we have an issue. 4. Lighting; The lighting in this place is terrible. You barely have enough light to even see what you are looking at, at certain angles. There is 1 Positive I will have to say... If you are into really old NES gaming this is the place you want to come to, as it sells many famous titles for less than $5. All in all, this store needs a lot of work to get my review higher than 3 stars, I hope this helps! read more

I bought a game that had a huge crack in the middle of the disc and when I went to return it they wouldn't because it "still worked" but for how long? More like 4 more days. I recently brought in a 40 GB and an 80 GB which both had trouble reading the disk. I explained that right off the bat and asked how much to fix. One guy told me $90 and another guy told me $80, which I was in there about 2 months ago and a guy told be about $60 but that's okay I was expecting around $60 to $80 anyways. I then proceeded to ask them a few other questions along with how much for them to buy the 2 I had. He said $50 a piece. I was super excited and told him lets do it. I brought them over to ring them up and he then tells me that he can give me $12.95 a piece. I told him just a few minutes ago you told me it would be $50 a piece he then proceeded to argue with me along with another clerk. Its not only the fact that they give a different answer every time I go in there but they would have fixed mine for virtually nothing, and turn around and sell it for $169 which is what he told me they sell there refurbished ones for. So they would have made over $300 on me yet they can't give me no more than $12.95 for one!! It is bad customer service and poor management. read more
