Said they would use hurricane clips on the decking, they put a few in obvious places, but didn't do it everywhere. Said they would replace any decking that showed signs of previous water damage, but they didn't even pull up the old felt to inspect the decking! Shingled over the original, wrinkled roofing felt, leaving obvious waves. Many of the decking boards should have been replaced due to getting wet previously and are now swelling and covered in mold. They were supposed to strengthen the rafters in the attic due to changing the roof design from a hip style to a gable roof front. See photos for how poorly it was done. In less than 3 months, the shingles were cracking and dried out. The roof isn't sufficiently supported and has lines where it is sagging and caving in. Randy came out to look at it and said, "Well, its too late to do anything about that now." There are rafters spliced together with one nail holding it together. They didn't put the house wrap on correctly around the dormers (which were also very poorly constructed) and it leaked, causing mold to grow all over the ceiling. Based on my experience, I would never recommend Randy's Roofing for ANY job whatsoever.

We called again when we had major water damage to the back outside and inside wall of the house where rain had splashed up and under the outside vinyl siding for years. Mr Vasquez knew what to look for and how to repair it correctly, and he was happy to explain his process in detail. He and his men replaced structure boards, insulation, wallboard and wood moulding across almost the entire back wall of the house. They used treated lumber and also wrapped the wood with a product that would be water resistant. When they were done with the work, they cleaned up all of the mess, with the help of their office manager, including sweeping the deck and inside hardwood. We were very impressed with the work and the work ethic. All of this was finished in two days. We will definitely call this company again.

HORRIBLE experience hiring Vasquez Roofing. My 92 year old mother contracted Vasquez Roofing to put…read morea new metal roof on her house on May 29, 2024. She told Vasquez that the roof was leaking and that she needed the work done before Hurricane Season. He gave her an estimate and told her that she needed to pay half to order materials. The amount came out to $9849.50. She went to his office and gave a check. After not hearing from Vasquez for a couple of months, she called to ask why he had not started work on the house and was told that they were waiting for materials. After another month passed and not hearing from Vasquez, she called again and was told that they were still waiting for the materials. Finally, after more than 5 months of excuses and getting the runaround, she Vasquez to return her money. As of today November 25, 2025 he has not done so. This is money that my mother has saved over the years. I don't know if Vasquez is having money problems or if his business is not doing well but that is no reason for him to keep a 92 year old woman's money. This situation has caused my mother a lot of stress. I would be very wary of hiring Vasquez to do any work. I read some past reviews and saw that Vasquez has a habit of ignoring customer's calls and complaints. We saw on his website that he is a Better Business Bureau accredited business but we will be filing a complaint with the BBB against Vasquez Roofing. I also read on the Vasquez Roofing website that he calls himself an honest contractor. Vasquez needs to buy a dictionary to know what the definition of "honest" is. The owner of this business is Hipolito Vasquez.

We had to repair our mother's tar and gravel flat roof after the hurricane, so we called about 10+ companies to come out and give us an estimate. None of them took the time to be sincere and honest with us about the process and the truth about the roof...Scott did. He worked with our schedule and budget throughout the entire process and brought out a crew that was very mindful of leaving the work area exactly if not better than they found it. If I were to use one sentence to describe our experience it would be: "Going with Scott and Allied Roofing felt like a family member was doing the roof for us." Trust is paramount with jobs of this scale and Allied Roofing has mine. Don't hesitate to have him give you my phone # as a reference if you're interested in a quote. I'm likely going to use him to fix our hurricane damaged fence as well!!! I can't wait. Manny F.
