A good sign was that the local carabinieri were eating their lunch there - this is a fabulous setting for a lunch on a sunny day - you could literally throw a bread roll into Lake Garda from the outside terrace. The staff are very friendly (and dog friendly, with water bowls available), and very patient with non-italian speakers - which is just as well. The portions are generous and reasonably priced.
