What impressed us most wasn't just that he knew the neighborhoods well, it was that he understood the houses themselves. There's a lot specific to older Philly rowhouses that nobody warns you about: flat roofs, plumbing that predates most living people, sump pumps, and a whole list of things that are just normal here but would raise red flags anywhere else. Jon walked us through all of it without making us feel like we were in over our heads. He's also the kind of agent who makes the process feel like a collaboration rather than a transaction. No pressure tactics, no steering. He negotiated on our behalf with a calm confidence that was genuinely reassuring. And Madeline, his partner, was exceptional on the operational side: she kept every deadline, document, and detail organized so nothing ever fell through the cracks. Between the two of them, we always knew exactly where things stood. We'd send anyone we know their way without a second thought.

Throughout the whole process Jon was responsive and reliable as was his whole team. A huge plus is that his work background means he has a keen eye for specific details while walking through prospective homes. We always felt like we were in good hands with Jon and that he really cares. We closed our home with ease and referred our close friends shortly after!

If you take the words Remax Plus and shuffle them in Ancient Greece, it gives you a combination world has never seen.. It also has a meaning in binary. If you take the name "Remax plus" and multiply it with your house number and add 0010, it predicts the name of your first born. The reason I'm padding this review with lies is because there really is not much more to say except that Matin and his team possess the definitive bad assery you should expect from your real estate agent. I closely worked with Matin from my first call till the day we signed closing to our dream house and I found out the man never slept (I had conversation with him past 11 pm) he negotiated like hell and was super patient in an industry that's filled with incompetent agents. Instead of handing me off to his workers, Matin diligently worked with me and guided us through a process that's super stressful. To say I'd refer him to others is an understatement.

They did tours with little notice, often in the mornings on weekends with no regard for our schedules. One realtor did a tour of the unit by walking around showing the unit to a guy on FaceTime. She proceeded to open my closet and show this random man on FaceTime my underwear drawer, to "show the storage space". Extremely unprofessional and violationg. After cleaning the entire apartment for two days straight, they still had the nerve to charge a $150 "cleaning fee". I would avoid properties that are managed or owned by the Haghkar group all together. The realtor who showed the place to us (I think his name was Thoma?) was great, so maybe it's just a problem with a few people, either way, avoid them if I was you.

I was stunned by the lack of competence, professionalism, and most of all, ethics of Christopher Benedict. My house did not sell, despite what I later realized was a true seller's market. When I listed again with Kristen LaNoce Thompson of Keller-Williams, my house sold in 5 days for the asking price. It was then that I realized how little BIG had done to market my home and how I had been encouraged to lower my asking price very early on before we even had more than a few showings. Their incompetence was glaring. The worst part, however, was that they failed to winterize my house as they had agreed to do, and during the cold snap in late December / early January, my pipes burst. I am living on the West Coast now, so I trusted them to follow through on what they agreed to do. The repairs cost me $4700 and the agent disappeared on me. She left me to deal with the repairs and the cost from long distance without any explanation. When I contacted Christopher Benedict directly, he ignored my requests for assistance for weeks. When I persisted in asking him to use his professional resources to help me to file an insurance claim, he refused. He accepted no responsibility because we were between contracts at the time, so the agreement to winterize had been only verbal. He told me that he would consult his attorney, but ultimately refused to acknowledge any responsibility. While I understand that he was under no legal obligation to help me recoup the expense, I was expecting him to acknowledge a professional or ethical responsibility, at the very least. He did not. Furthermore, he offered to partially reimburse me the cost of the burst pipes IF I agreed to re-sign with him! When I replied that I had no trust or confidence in his company and would not be listing with him again, he made another offer: He would pay me half of the cost IF I signed a document releasing him of any responsibility AND agreed to refrain from speaking negatively about him on social media. Clearly, I refused his offer.
