But the staff went above and beyond this past Saturday with their customer service. I had purchased tickets over the phone for Brett Kissel in November for my husband's Christmas present. When we arrived at the box office to pick them up just before the show, there was no record of my purchase. Nothing under my name, phone number, or the confirmation number that I had. It didn't make any sense to me, and I was scrambling to find the charge on my visa bill, sure that I was about to be told "Sorry, but there's no record here so you won't be seeing the show". Then the attendant at the desk did something amazing - she said "You know, I believe that you purchased tickets - I'm not sure where those tickets are, but here are two more. Enjoy the show, and thank you for choosing The Empire Theatre". I was floored. My husband was floored. That, ladies and gentlemen, is incredible customer service. Long story short, thank you Empire Theatre. Brett's performance was flawless, and so was yours. We will gladly choose The Empire Theatre again!

There were probably less than 50 members in the audience flanking both sides of the stage. After the show, there was a Q&A with the playwright, director, and actors. While it wasn't as flashy as other plays I've seen, it was definitely one of the more memorable experiences.

Wow Glanmore is a National Historic site and my review will be the first!…read more When I moved to the area within the first month I checked out Glanmore since it is the only real tourist place to visit in Belleville. From the outside the grounds are well kept and the house looks charming. I visited on a Sunday as I was the only person there, the tour guide was friendly and helpful. I found the only thing missing was no kitchen, it took out of some of the luster since kitchens are ea focal point in most historic tours. A neat thing was going into the basement though and seeing displays and the feel of an old house and history down there. I think this would be a must stop at Christmas to when they set up the holiday display.

It's a really lovely space as it uses what may be an old barn (but refurbished) and there's a very large event space upstairs, and downstairs is where you'll meet customer service and the wine selection. They have a great outdoor seating area and a really nice outdoor space with a mini creek running through it. I'm not sure if they specialize in Gamays or not, but they have a few. My wife really enjoys the Chardonnay - specifically the one aged in the steel barrel. Naturally you'd probably do a tasting before purchasing here, but regardless I'd recommend it as you can get quite different tastes even from the same type of wine depending on the vintage, barrel and other factors. They have a few sweets you can pick up and they also have a stone wood-fired oven for pizza. Lovely spot all around with some great wine - and pizza, makes this a can't-miss stop on any PEC wine tour.
