Everyone was so nice & helpful, we must have walked around that market at least times if not more. They have everything! It brought back so many childhood memories... I was able to get all the things I wanted & even a few I didn't know I wanted lol We will defiantly visit again the next time we are in town! Thank you Ellie for the laugh, at least I hope that's your name because you were great!

First impressions are important, which is why I can only give this place 2 stars. The carniceros…read moreare friendly to a point, and the meat counter looks fresh and clean. However, the overall quality doesn't quite match the presentation. The store itself is clean and organized, but the produce selection is limited. Prices are fair, though you can often get more value at other local markets. My main concern was with a packaged tray of corn. Once home, all four pieces were moldy and had a funky smell. I called the store immediately; a young employee put me on hold for about 10 minutes, then said the owner hadn't responded yet. I left my contact info, but four days later I've still received no call back or attempt to resolve the issue. Some cashiers come across as genuinely friendly, while others seem to be forcing a smile. Management should please inspect their produce more carefully to avoid this happening to other customers. Unfortunately, the lack of follow-through and attention to customer service has lost me as a customer.

I would think they could make some dough putting in gas pumps as the locals must not enjoy driving 30 miles west on SR14 to fill up. I've never paid much attention but there could be a card-lock place across the street for businesses that have a membership. Those tractors certainly gulp down a lot of diesel in a week's time. There used to be a ferry here that went over to Arlington, OR but it's long gone now. It was used frequently by the locals to fetch groceries across the river. In recent years the population of Roosevelt has increased dramatically after the town decided that they would build a landfill and welcome the trash from the Seattle area. Trains loaded with refuse keep truck drivers employed and busy hauling the containers up the hill to be emptied. Prior to the landfill, Roosevelt was little more than a whistle stop with a dive bar and a couple of other now derelict businesses. Food here is pretty decent these days as they are feeding local truckers who want and expect a hardy meal at a reasonable price. You'll find that here. Staff is very friendly. There's a little park and boat launch down the road (south) with picnic tables and a view of the river.
