Just last weekend, I happened to be back in Rochester again for a wedding, and since it'd been over a year since my last dental appointment (during which they informed me I'd need to get a $1000 inlay done--which i didn't have the cash for and so did not have done), I figured I might as well go see Doc again to get my mouth back in order. Well OH MY GOD am I glad I did. After sitting in Dr. C's dental chair for 2 hours, I feel like my mouth is brand new. He is incredibly thorough, and in addition to fixing every problem I had, took measures to prevent future issues. He gave every tooth in my mouth very acute attention, and I am grateful for his skill, training and attention. In fact, I cannot BELIEVE what has been passing for dentistry in every other office I've entered. NO ONE has given my teeth and gums the attention or care Dr. C has. My tooth that "needed" an inlay? Well, well, well. He fixed it right up WITHOUT an inlay or thousand dollar invoice, repaired another filling that was done by a California dentist and was leaking, and fixed a number of other major issues, and all for less than 400 bucks. If you live anywhere in the Detroit Metro area, I sincerely suggest you make the trip to Dr. Catania's office. He went to U of M Dental School--arguably the best in the country--and it shows. When I arrived at my appointment, the front desk staff were incredibly sweet, accommodating, and professional. It turned out that I needed two emergency root canals. Even though they had a fully-packed Sunday appointment-wise, they completed the intensive procedure within 90 minutes of my initial appointment, taking my pain seriously. I also had issues with my insurance and they discounted the cost for me in-house, saving me around $500. The receptionist even called me the day after to see how I was feeling. These people are serious professional and take their practice seriously. I will 10/10 make this my go-to dentist moving forward.

The entire building is run down on the inside and out, hasn't been updated since the 70's or 80's looks like. When the doctor took the X-Rays of my teeth, I noticed that they are still using the old-fashioned methods of putting the X-Rays against the light on the wall and checking for white spots for cavities that way. After this, I went and saw a different place which pulls the X-Ray scan up on the computer where you can zoom in and really see what's going on - they missed about 4 things in my teeth.
