If you're feeling like a complete idiot, order the shot ski and bring up socialism.

Vor allem am Freitag- und Samstagabend ist der Platz ein Szenetreff. Es ist einfach schön, unter den Arkadenbögen des Deli zu sitzen. Nun zum Deli selbst: Zuerst einmal ist das Deli eine gut sortierte Bar. Man findet auf der Karte ein reichhaltiges Angebot unterschiedlichster Getränke. Da gibt es eine Vielzahl von Cocktails, auch alkoholfreie, aber auch unterschiedliche Weine. Mir schmeckt der offene Merlot besonders gut. Was mir besonders gefällt: das Deli hat verschiedene Single-Malt-Whiskys und Rums auf der Karte und zwar nicht nur zwei oder drei, sondern mindestens jeweils fünf. Nicht selbstverständlich! Auch Cognacs und Brandys gibt es mehrere verschiedene. Dann ist das Deli ein gar nicht schlechtes Restaurant! Neben der Stammkarte gibt es eine wechselnde Tageskarte mit vielfältigen Gerichten, die jeweils auf der Internetseite des Deli abgedruckt ist. Außerdem gibt es die Pasta oder den Salat des Tages. Da findet jeder auf alle Fälle etwas. Sogar Weißwürste werden angeboten. Natürlich kann man im Deli auch nachmittags ganz einfach zwischendurch einen Kaffee trinken oder morgens frühstücken. Auf jeden Fall lohnt sich ein Besuch. Eines meiner Lieblingsspots in Stuttgart.

Posh and trendy, but nothing too terrifying. It's especially great during the warmer months, since you can sit outside and watch people walk around and drink your drink. The staff are lovely and very friendly, and the drinks are pretty standard. Their food is also lovely, not too heavy, yet not too sloppy either. Nice music, perfect location which gets busier and more fun as it gets a bit late and overall great to stop by with a friend, loved one or even some colleagues for a drink/meal. I've actually met a lot of people who claim Deli as their favorite bar/cafe, and I'm not surprised.

Menu had soup salad enters BUT it had a "surprise" option of 3-5 courses (price based on course). Waitress asked if we were allergic to anything and whether we wanted meat or fish (if you do not eat pork or beef inform them). Drinks do not come with the courses ! What ensued was a good collection of food. We opted for three courses: starter, entree (stuffed chicken atop quinoa risotto) and dessert (brownie, chocolate crumble cake, ice cream) and polished it off with cafe. The waitress checked on us in an unassuming fashion (not a bother but we didn't go wanting) so we were content. Great way to spend a quiet evening full of conversation and people watching.

The fish is fresh and the ingredients offer a refreshing approach to the classic fish - lemon froth texture over the conventional squeezed lemon juice. Finally, dessert. I still can't get over the dessert. I almost thought I would be sharing but boy am I glad that didn't happen. Definitely demand the semi-liquid chocolate cake with walnut ice cream and the strawberry rubarb with vanilla ice. Incredible and not too sweet.
