I will never stay here…read moreagain, nor will the people that met us there after I flipped my car in an ice storm in this city. Go to the Best Western next door when it opens. Me and my partner where on our way to Ruidosa for a much needed vacation when we hit a freak snow storm. Our truck hydroplaned and flipped upside down on the side of the road. We were lucky to be alive. After sitting alone in the blizzard we were helped by an officer who lived in the city. He brought us to the motel and he asked the guy to give us a break since all of our cards and everything were upside down in the snow. He told me he had a great room for $80. I tried to use my debit and he said then it would be 90.25 so I had to use up my cash. That was already way too high for what he was offering but we were mentally tired and ready to rest. After charging me that he asked me to fill out a sheet about my car I would be parking there. So I very politely reminded him my car was upside down in a blizzard 6 miles from his motel. The room was ok. New, beds were comfortable, bathroom and sink were clean. It had a half fridge and microwave. He was very proud of their tv channels but only half of them come through clearly on the TV and the Internet is very very slow. We were trapped since our car was still there and it was a natural disaster. We were going to have to get a second night. Our friends were also coming to stay with us because they got stuck as well. I got on their website and saw the price for a room was $55. So he pretty much took advantage of the situation and uncharged me. My friends used The website and called him on their way. He told them $60 for the room and when they got there he upped it to $70. They ended up paying it and then I asked for the same rate since we had identical rooms. THE MAN TOOK A DEEP BREATH ABD SAID HE HAD ALREADY GIVEN ME A GREAT RATE. HE WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO CHARGE ME THE SAME RATE AGAIN!! When he finally agreed to charge me 70 as well, he said he would not clean the room for that price. I said fine, paid, and left. Don't stay here. It is not worth it. Go a few miles more to another Motel or go to the Best Western if it is open. Also. He told us that because he had given us such a great rate that we needed to go I and review them. Sooooo here is my review!

I checked in on a weekly rate and a couple days later I went to pay for another week and dealt with the wife of couple who own the motel on a Tuesday or Wednesday She insured me that as long as I was already here I could extend my stay no problem. Then when she went to look my room up everything changed and I was told I would have to check out Saturday morning because they had taken a reservation. Basically I feel like my room was sold out from under to someone who was only gonna be here less than a week making a larger profit. Rooms are nice but Beware they have no problem hanging someone out to dry for a little more money.If you plan on being here for work I wouldn't recommend it. I'll be in this town for months to come and will share it with any and all crews that ask me were to stay. I asked and also left a note for the husband Victor to call me and had no luck.

The lobby was spotless. It is not a brand new building, yet, it still has the freshly-built feel. Their landscaping and multiple parking lot entrances make this post office even more appealing. I'm a fan.
