Goyza seemed a little more deep fried than pan fried, but it was still tasty and the ponzu sauce was excellent. The red curry sauce was flat out delicious. Good mix of meat and veggies. Pad Thai was a good classic version, recommend if you're looking for that pad thai fix. The slices of meat (chicken and beef) in both dishes was a bit dry, something in my experience is common to these dishes. Made me think that the tofu or veggie versions might even be a better choice. Ordered at a 3 and 4 spicy level and both had a decent kick. Pad Thai is traditionally not spicy, so I appreciated the option to give it a little kick. This is the BEST authentic Thai restaurant in Irving. I grew up in Thailand and this place's food tastes exactly like the Thai street food in Thailand. 1. Som Tum taste good. It comes with the sticky rice and Thai sausages. We were fighting over the sausages LOL. I will need to order it extra next time. 2. Pad Prik King is very tasty with full flavor of Thai spices. 3. Pad Pong Ka Ree with shrimp is to die for. 4. Lot of free parking space. They open 7 days a week. 5. I ordered from Yelp today and it took about 20 mins which is awesome. This is my new go to for Thai food. Had the Massaman curry and my friend had the Pad Ka Pao, which I had the opportunity to taste as well. First off, we were served salad and egg roll. Both good but pretty standard. Then the entrees came, and I was blown away by the Massaman Curry, as it's the best I have ever had! However, next time I'm there I'm ordering h the Pad Ka Pao, as I've never had it, and the one bite I had was sooooooo good. Service was great, atmosphere nice. While I really love this place, I encourage the restaurant to do better with cleaning the restrooms, as that was really the only negative (and does not take away from a five star rating!). read more

We NEVER received the food we paid for. I got an automated email Friday, January 31st at 10:46 am that said "We got your order!!! Your order will be ready in 3 minutes ( Jan 30, 2025 6:20 PM ). -- Thai Monkey, Irving TX" I tried calling again that afternoon twice and still no one answered and there was no voicemail. Finally dined at Thai Monkey today. WOW, their food is so good! This is my new go-to Thai place. The restaurant is small, but very nice and clean. We started with the Crispy Squid appetizer which was phenomenal. You know how often times when you are served the large squid rings they are overcooked and tough? Not so here. They were perfectly cooked, moist, and delicious. Best ever! I ordered a small Tom Kha soup with shrimp and it was outstanding! The coconut milk and lime based broth was so flavorful, and the bowl was loaded with purple onion, mushrooms, lemongrass, tomatoes, and scallions. It's heavenly. I ordered spicy level 3 (they have 1-5) which, to me, was a nice medium amount of spice. The kind where you can enjoy your meal and not have to rush to drink after every bite. BUT I like spicy. I'm the weirdo that asks for the spicy salsa they keep in the kitchen at Mexican restaurants that they don't offer to clientele, so order accordingly. We ordered entrees, which were very good, but the two appetizers definitely stole the show. OH, their Thai iced tea is a must. It is very fresh with a subtle vanilla note. Super yum! read more

I ordered take away and my order was ready quickly. The pineapple curry is so yummy and it's a good amount. Spice level 1, it's the perfect mild level for me. My only complaint is that the steamed rice that comes with it was only halfway full. It's not nearly enough for the curry. Great food and even better customer service! It's a quaint little restaurant that felt clean the moment we entered. It didn't take long before the waitress was at our table. For appetizer, we got the fried squid which turned out okay. Slices were a little big and just a handful of slices filled the entire plate. The beef pad Thai had a bit of sweetness to it and a good balance of flavors. My wife loved the tom kha soup. It's not overly filling, but tasted delicious! The waitress was super sweet and friendly, especially to our little one- Henry. She actually carried him around for a bit to free up our hands at the tail end of dinner as we were wrapping up. Their version is a bit mild without the tang that a lot of other restaurants have. Red curry with chicken: really good, but no better or worse than other places. Krapow Gai: minced chicken with basil and an egg on top served with rice. I liked this dish, but the veggies (carrots and peppers I think) threw me off as I haven't had these in other krapow renditions. Drunken noodles: the best dish on the table. Flavorful and delicious. Pineapple fried rice: the least liked dish. Pineapples tasted sour and the spices in the rice didn't work with the pineapples. It smelled and tasted entirely of curry powder, so if you're not a fan of curry flavor, steer clear. Service was good. No smiles, but friendly and efficient enough. read more

I got the Thai dumplings and wings. The dumplings are not the gyoza/mandu type of dumplings, they are shumai. The shumai was great! I loved the sauce and it had a good amount of filling. I have been living in Irving for a long time and have been only eating Chinese food from two places. Me and my mom decided to try this place and try Thai food for the first time and I was shocked. The seasonings were so great in how I can taste the spices are so fresh and everything was so delicious there crab ragoons were the bomb. I enjoyed the spice level of 1 out of 10 since I'm not really super into spicy and they did an excellent job with the taste. The green tea was unexpectedly served with sweet milk but the taste was delicious and refreshing. I think it may have been matcha green tea with condensed milk. The "small" size portion of Tom yum was huge! It was larger than a regular bowl and also very tasty and packed with flavor. The carry out experience was good, but unfortunately the food fell very short of expectations.

I can give it 5 stars but stepping back with 4 stars (for taste) the only reason being the spice level was a lot less for level 5 spice and drunken noodles were a bit sweeter than I thought. But the flavor and taste was really good though. Their salad and spring roll were free which is a bonus add on for customers. I should really appreciate their hospitality as I mentioned no cabbage in my instructions but somehow they missed it and placed cabbage but when I asked them, no questions asked they changed the entire dish and that's how customers need to feel that they are treated very well. On that point I can give 100 stars if I would for their best hospitality. One of the best Thai place in Irving. read more
