Disclaimer : my visit there dates back from a few years ago…read more I decided it was worth sharing my experience with the shop retrospectively. Verso offers an outstanding choice of high-end brands. It is without a doubt one of the best luxury ready-to-wear shops in Belgium, catalog-wise. The reason why I gave such a low note is because of the staff's attitude. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have followed me all the way inside of the fitting room (!) had I been a caucasian male, instead of a mixed african one. The staff lady was aggressively tracking me everywhere, watching my every move as if I was about to steal, a most unpleasant feeling for a paying customer. She even "assisted" me within the fitting room, stepping foot inside it while I was starting to undress myself, probably afraid that I wouldn't know better than to damage the goods. I can say it in all honesty : from the moment I entered the shop until I left with bags and a receipt in my hands, I felt I was being treated with disdain. How very uninspired. I still spent 400eur that day, because I really wanted the things I purchased but I am afraid I will spend my money elsewhere next time. Au revoir merci

Lucky me! Best shop on Meir -- and it's a newcomer to the scene!…read more I had no idea Juttu had opened literally the day before I arrived to Antwerp (mid-November 2015) -- it was only when I was adding the information to Yelp that I realized I went on day 2 of their existence. Points for great timing, I suppose. Juttu was my favorite store on this mega shopping strip, Meir. Everything else felt like a variation on the same thing, same style, same price point. It seems like millions of shops and then you realize "samesies" mostly. Juttu definitely stands out -- it's a Belgium original, with 2 locations (this one and Brugge). Really cool style, great curation, a bit more high end, really lovely stuff. I walked out with a gorgeous cardigan sweater (80 euro) and my new favorite pair of beaded earrings (25 euro). Not crazy pricy, but very high quality. It's like Belgian Anthropologie, but better. Highly recommended. They were working out some of the opening jitters when we were there (checkout ques were a bit unorganized) but I think this place is a sure win once it gets that sorted. It's already looking fabulous and upping the shopping bar on Meir.

For some reason it toke me the longest to run across the location in Antwerp. I would always see women walking around with these little blue Zara bags, but I was never really in the mood to really look for the store. Come to find out it was just right under my nose. I rather this store location, instead of Amsterdam, because it allows me to avoid a lot large crowds of tourist.
