In March of 2024 a neighbor across the road from us hired G contracting to construct an addition to their home. I don't know what kind of work G contracting does but I do know that Jonathan J Gerancher, the owner of the business believes it is perfectly ok to litter the neighborhood with the construction materials plastic sheathing (used to protect his construction site) roofing materials, black plastic bags, foam insulation to be blown by the wind into our trees and a landscaping. It is now June and we are still picking up the litter from his construction job. I contacted Mr Gerancher on his cell phone, left a message and waited almost 2 weeks for a return call. When Mr. Gerancher did call back he claimed that the litter was an act of God and he and his company was not responsible for clean up. The day after the worst of the plastic was deposited in my yard two of his workers did come over and cleaned up some of the debris, but never finished the job. There is still plastic hanging in my trees and not a word or call from G contracting about cleaning up their mess. I did report my complaint to the BBB but nothing came of it because every reply from Mr. Gerancher was to delay any clean up until the job was finished. Well the job has been finished for two weeks or more now and I still am cleaning up plastic in my landscaping. Now the my trees have leaves on them it is difficult to see the plastic hanging in the trees. Out of sight out of mind seems to be the answer that Mr. Gerancher was waiting for. Wait long enough and the problem will go away seems to be the business model of G contracting.
I found this on G contracting's website:
