Upon taking the car to the dealership I was told that the engine was completely gone and that the car was totaled and I needed to pay to get it fixed from the accident so they could resale it. I do not believe that was legal. They then traded that car out for a different car refusing to refund the down payment. The second car that I got from them the check engine light came on within 48 hours of me leaving the lot. I have been to the dealership multiple times called and text no repairs have been made the one that was failed and the engine light came right back on. This lot and dealership is heavy on the fraud side. I believe they are turning engine lights off and messing with odometer readings. Would not recommend

I'm from Georgia, so I was not really shocked, but I did have to control the Hulk from easing out of my brown skin. I must have looked like an angry Black woman because the owner's son said "We aren't that bad". It's just a pride/heritage thing. So I quickly rolled my eyes at him and said "Sure it is." Now I wanted to go H Rap Brown on his azz, but my friend said they are very nice people. I sat down with them for a few minutes and sure enough they seemed to be genuinely nice young men. Cordial, polite and helpful. They have cars starting at like $900 and they go up to $7000 or so. Many of these cars do not work/crank for under $3000. But don't worry. They will tell you if they crank or if they need a key or whatever they know the issues are. I think the $3000 and up cars all run. Not saying that they are perfect cars but they will run and you can always bring a mechanic/(Shade tree or a real one) with you to see what they think. Sooooo. If you are looking for a car to get around town in and you don't mind buying a used one. Or if you need parts for your older vehicle then I would say give them a chance if you are in the area. Instead, I was repeatedly passed from person to person, with no one taking real responsibility or offering an actual solution. What made this worse is that once Adrien saw me in person, she couldn't even make eye contact, which spoke volumes. It was clear she knew she had handled the situation wrong, yet there was no accountability, no urgency, and no ownership of the problem--just avoidance. For a company with CarMax's reputation, this level of disorganization, lack of transparency, and poor customer care is unacceptable--especially when it involves people's money. I expected honesty and professionalism, and I received neither. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this dealership to anyone. CarMax needs to seriously evaluate how situations like this are handled and how employees like Adrien conduct business. I would strongly advise customers to document everything and be extremely cautious if dealing with her.
