Basically I was looking for the toilet (having never been to them here before) and took a wrong turn in the maze downstairs which landed me in the table-football room. After talking to the barman it seems that they only opened the room up a few weeks ago. So the upstairs is the same 3 Room Flat that we've always known, but downstairs there is a new long room with a few sofas, a second bar and 6 table-football tables. Yes, 6. We were here for four hours and while I can't remember the exact bill, we paid about 28EUR each, which included three or four beers and a pizza. Decent price for a good evening out. I will say that the pizzas were pretty disappointing, but I won't dock them marks as that's not really the point. As a side-note, there were a surprising number of British expats among the clientele, which was a nice little bonus for me.

Other than all the movie characters the bar has a sort of jungle theme with lots of bamboo - random. Once you get past all of that though you notice that it's actually quite a cool bar. Having said all that, there is only one reason to make the trip to Gecko bar in my eyes - to play pool. The tables here aren't cheap, but they are good.

Queue is situated in a huge, and very depressing-looking UCI cinema complex. Upon walking through to main door the complex looks like something built in the late 80s which has slowly been declining ever since. Half the spaces are empty. The decor is terrible. The whole place reeks of chav. Upon walking into Queue, there were three immediately obvious things: 1) There were many little pool tables, all a bit too close together - perhaps 30 of them 2) Only two tables were being used 3) There were 50 screaming kids in one corner playing air hockey One thing that only became clear after we'd been there for 10 minutes was that it was almost unbearably hot. Maybe 30C. (It was only 15C outside). One of the main reasons we went was because of the EUR5 per day price, however that's only Sunday to Thursday apparently. We had to pay EUR9.90 per hour because we were stupid enough to go on a Saturday. So lets summarise: - screaming kids - expensive - too hot - middle of no-where location - tables too close together I'm going to give them one extra star for the cues being a decent quality and the table that we played on was level.
