This place is definitely worth a visit if you're on Gotland and have a car - and if you're on Fårö,…read moreyou'd be crazy not to go.
The atmosphere is very unique. There are actually three cafes/restaurants on the same property, with different styes and price levels. The creperi has crepes, of course. The whole place is done in a shabby 1950s sort of style, very rustic, with old cars and coke bottles.
The food is sublime. I had the One Speed Jimmy crepe and my friend had the Marilyn, which was an interesting Swedish take on crepes with gravad lax ?(dill-cured salmon).
Both were visually stunning and totally delicious, very interesting flavour combinations.
It's not cheap, but I would say the price is normal, and it's worth it.
I've been told that the place is owned by a very nice French woman and her Swedish husband. Unfortunately the French woman was nowhere to be found when I was there, and her husband was rather rude to me. I am a journalist and writer and planned on interviewing her for an article but her husband had very strange questions and a rude over-the-top manner...that was the only downside.
But the food and location are heavenly, so definitely go!
