We visit Bar Harbor every year for almost 10 years in our family RV. We got here the other day and when I went for a propane refill, found that the couldn't hook up the fill line without it leaking propane everywhere. Guys couldn't figure out what the problem was but we found online there is a rubber gasket that goes inside the fitting. Turns out the last fill must have gotten the seal stuck to the adapter and when disconnecting, it pulled out the seal. No one had any idea about the seal but we found online it's an ASME 1.75" connector and it does have a deal. We called around and with the help of the service manager from DEAD RIVER PROPANE SUPPLY directed us here. The staff was very helpful but they didn't have a seal in stock. HOWEVER, he took a brand new tank valve assembly, removed the yellow cap, and picked out the seal and gave it to us! Talk about customer service .... he said it was no charge when my husband offered to pay for it and said he would just order a few replacements.
