A friend of mine recommended Fusion Collection in the Como Centre to me recently because I am a homeware lover. From the outside, it looked quite interesting so I ventured in and had a quick browse. When I did find something I liked, I couldn't find a price tag so I did what any normal person would do - I asked the sales person. First off, she was not very friendly and was more interested in her artwork that she was working on. At first it thought it might have been something she was making for the shop but I soon realised it was just her handicraft that was more interesting than making a sale. That being said, Fusion Collection does have a good array of cute antique style "book" boxes - perfect for keeping jewellery or precious keepsakes. It also has a wide range of affordable lighting ($120 for a floor lamp), antique style suitcases, vases, photo frames and other decorative home items. Prices are affordable but nothing it out of the ordinary. You might however find some good gift ideas here so it's still worth the visit. read more
