She not only came through with a gift certificate but also helped me with booking for that same weekend. When we got there for the appointment, we were kindly greeted and quickly attended to. TJ worked with my bf to get the tattoo size and placement just right, without scoffing at the many adjustments that were requested. Surrounding artists engaged us in conversation. Wow!!!! The best total tattoo experience I've ever had. I've been getting tattoos for almost 20 years and have never had such a fantastic experience. I walked in on a random Monday afternoon to see what they could do about covering up an existing tattoo on my shoulder. The owner was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He booked me for Wednesday and I was super excited! When I came in on Wednesday, Taye, my tattoo artist was pumped to design the coverup for me. He took special care in ensuing I would love the design, and that it would cover everything I wanted. His attention to detail was impressive. All together, the tattoo took about 6 hours and I couldn't be happier! The tattoo is perfect, even better than I expected. Taye was kind, gentle, professional, creative, and hospitable. He even made sure I ate before and during the process and gave me lots of candy to take my mind off the pain. A few days later the tattoo is healing better than normal and I can really see Taye's attention to detail in the design. I've NEVER had an artist like him. While I'd considered getting a tattoo for decades, I was only inspired recently by a friend to get something that has a lot of meaning to me. I chose Fury 13 based on its excellent reviews. The owners and the amazing artist, Ezee, were wonderful...so kind, and making me feel totally welcomed, at ease, and comfortable. (I'm not your "typical" tattoo customer, whatever that means, and the *last* person in the world my friends and acquaintances would think would get a tattoo.) Ezee spent a lot of time with me designing what I wanted and going back and forth with both the design and placement until I was happy with it. It's beautiful and I love it, so much so that I've now gone back for my second and third tattoos. Ezee took what were general ideas I had, and that, like my first tattoo, hold much meaning for me, and created the most beautiful pieces. I can't recommend Fury 13 and Ezee highly enough (but, all of the artists there produce beautiful work...find the shop and the artists on Instagram to see). Fury 13 is a great place. As soon as you walk in you are welcomed by one of their staff. The owner Itzkar and Korina are wonderful people. They make sure you feel at home when you're there and they cater to their clients needs. As for the artists they're all great people as well. Nick, Julio, Yawd Mon, and David are all wonderful artists and make sure the clients are satisfied with their work and never rush you out of there. Last but not least Juan is my go to artist. He has done a whole sleeve on my arm and paid attention to all the details i wanted and made sure I was satisfied with their work. Overall a great vibe from a great group of people. They were so great that my friend Donte and my wife Denisse also got tattooed there as well! Come check them out if you haven't already. A+ service! They also have added barber chairs which were ran by Sosa and Itzkar the owner. What better place to get your haircut and tattoos at the same time?! I found this shop next to my niece's doctor's office by chance. I'd never heard of it before, although I live in Alexandria I usually get my tattoos done in Baltimore or DC. The shop's decor is dope and cleaner than I have seen from most shops. I walked in and saw it was a bunch of dudes and in my experience male tattooers tend to be a bit intimidating. These guys were not. I felt comfortable asking my questions about pricing and decided to come back later that week to get two tattoos touched up. I made an appointment with Ezee because that's who I spoke to when I came in + his portfolio was impressive. Although there was a little bit of a wait, when he did get in to the shop I was blown away w his speed+the quality of the work. I got 6 tattoos touched up (including one basically being redone) in about two hours. He explained what he was doing + helped me understand in what ways my tattoos needed to be worked on. The pricing was incredibly reasonable and now that I know he's not exactly a morning person and appointments should be closer to 1 I will definitely be coming back + bringing my friends who also got quick + not particularly high quality tattoos. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the DMV, all the artist's portfolios are impressive + they were all nice to me during my appointment which was a pleasant surprise based on how my friends and I have been talked over / rushed in other shops before. They don't have a website (lol) but their instagram is informative + setting up the appointment via text was easy and the customer service was excellent. Parking was confusing but I found a non-reserved spot in the lot behind the building. read more
