Furnitureland is extremely unprofessional. I walked in at 2:30 pm on 3/9/20. Nobody greeted me. Had to walk 150 feet into the store. I inquired as to where the mattresses were located. A young girl (not employee) pointed to corner of store. It took me by surprise. I had to walk to the back of the store by myself. I waited between 7-10 minutes. The sales counselor, Suzanne Gibson, finally addressed me. I told her I needed a new mattress and box spring and preferred Sealy. She barely took 3 minutes with me and I asked her does free delivery include taking my old mattress and box spring out of my home. She got very snippy with me and said "we do not take any old mattresses or box springs with stains, government regulations, you know." She went onto say,'lie on these mattresses and I will be back". I lied on a few. The fluorescent light fixtures above had 30-40 dried flies and/or bees. GROSS. She never came back. I saw a young lady behind a counter to help me. Her response "I cannot help you, you have to talk to your sales counselor." Ok, where is she? No clue. I walked back up to the middle of the store. I saw a $6,000 Amish Made bedroom set at 20% off. Nobody could answer my questions so I walked out of the store. I called a Verlo Mattress in Green Bay. I have an appointment with Glenn on Tuesday, 3/10/20. Verlo's prices are $145 less than Furnitureland and they offer free delivery, set up the bed and take the old mattress and box springs with them. No questions asked. Furnitureland lost my business. If the prior deceased owner, Doug McDermid, knew I was treated this way, things would have been rectified immediately. Customer Service is almost next to Zilch at Furnitureland! Don't waste your time in Pulaski with incompetent sales counselor and an employee behind a desk with no customer service skills whatsoever! read more
