Worst experience ever and have not been able to get a hold of a manager. Bed frame and headboard was supposed to arrive in 3-4 weeks. It took 3 months. I went and picked it up, the people working were clearly both under the influence. When I got home and opened it up it was the completely wrong bed. I called and told them and they said I needed to bring it back and pick up the other one. "Its your fault for not checking before you left". After continual calls and complaining the manager agreed to have it shipped. (I never spoke directly with a manager as he refused to call me back.) When it was delivered they scuffed the wall in 8 different places and not just minor scuffs. (Pictures to prove) They come off as a big company but do not do business with them. Washington St. - Salesman Andrew Bledsoe Me and my Wife was very happy when we left the store last night, We had been waiting all year to get our tax check and purchase a new sofa for our Living room. We Paid $725 cash, However today After paying a friend $20 to borrow his pick up truck so I could go pick it up from the warehouse over on Franklin Road, I got the Box home (The sofa was packaged up) and started assembling it and we realized THEY HAD LOADED UP THE WRONG SOFA in the truck!! It's looks like what we ordered except it is a 3 seat sofa and much longer, not to mention it didn't have the center console with cup holders and built in power outlet / USB cell phone chargers. ( We paid for a "Love Seat" with the center console) which we had been very excited about getting. When we walked in the store they had EXACTLY what we had longed been wanting In our home all year. However we got stuck with this couch they mistakenly had loaded up! I called and talked to the salesmen Andrew Bledsoe and of course informed me that Not only would they NOT give us any of our money back if we kept this couch (that we didn't want) but they also would not Deliver the Correct sofa we had originally paid $725 for or schedule a pick up for the couch we had brought home. Yet he made sure that we new about there $50 delivery they provide if needed the night before prior to receiving our $725. This company has delivery, yet won't deliver the correct couch we had paid for. It was basically either keep the couch that THERE COMPANY mistakenly loaded up in our truck, or we had to VERY INCONVENIENTLY box this thing all back up and lug it back to the warehouse because of there mistake!. But today is different, today, I declare war, a war between me, a girl who just moved to Indianapolis vs. a giant local furniture store- Furniture for Less. And this is why: -August 18th, I visited your store for the first time and greeted by your salesman. He toured me around your store and told me how proud you were to be a family-owned local company in Indy. We looked at your catalog together and picked a few items together. - August 19th, I visited your store again and made the purchasing decision. I paid the full amount upfront (thousands of dollars) for the following items: -A new mattress (memory foam) -A checkered (2 tones) bedroom suite, including a queen platform bed, a nightstand, a dresser and a mirror. -A white leather sofa. I confirmed, and double confirmed with your sales guy the accuracy of the above items, style, color scheme, material and everything. He promised to deliver everything by EOD August, 25th. I accommodated my schedule for this delivery date. I checked out of my hotel, where I previously stayed and made a decision of the apartment move-in date based on this delivery date. - August 25th, you delivered the items, every single piece of the delivered furniture was wrong. The bedroom suite is in a solid black color instead of a 2 tone checkered color; the bed is a traditional bed instead of a platform bed, which requires a box spring; the sofa was not even delivered because it will be delayed and on top of everything, you delivered a dirty floor sample mattress with lots of stains on it, so stained that i don't even know i should call it a white mattress. I called your store, your store manager picked up and she was very rude and told me there is nothing you can do. The delivery guy was nice, he wanted to leave the dirty mattress to me so at least i will have something to sleep on. Your store manager even refused that and said the only way she could leave the mattress to me is I pay again. The delivery guy shook his head, left the mattress to me anyway, apologized and left. -August 26th, I called your store twice, nobody picked up. I drove to your headquarters in Castleton and talked to the store manager. This time, getting worse. The manager told me the color scheme was picked by me and his salesperson together. It was a mistake, but it is my purchasing decision so it is my fault. My only option is to accept what has been offered and call it a day. I requested to talk to senior manager. He refused and sent me off by promising he will call me back by 1pm EST August, 27th, 2012. - August 27th, i waited and waited, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm..........Finally, he called me backed at 6:37pm. He refused to admit you made a mistake and unwilling to correct your behavior. He informed me that my only option is to take what I have been delivered, and that's end of the story. Towards the end of conversation, I told him I might want to file a credit card dispute if they keep avoid working with me. And the manager said, and I quoted: "Cynthia. Go ahead and try. The credit card company has to talk to me first." The tone of his voice was almost mocking, and I got really upset. Throughout this whole process, the salesperson who sold me the furniture totally disappeared on me and refused to talk to me. The manager has been very rude and refused to say sorry. As a customer, I feel I have been ignored and treated poorly in this situation. As a newbie to the city, facing an empty apartment and sleeping on a dirty mattress for many nights, I never feel this homeless and frustrated in my life. Furniture for less, do not tell me it is the reality of the furniture industry, because I know for sure the other local stores will disagree. Furniture for less, do not tell me it is the standard business practice for Indy, because all hard-working Hoosiers will disagree. I believe, merchant should have decent business behavior and treat customers properly. And if they refuse to do so, consumers like me deserve at least the right to know. I have had a terrible experience with Furniture for Less. I purchased a table and chair set for our kitchen. They offered to deliver, but I chose to pick it up at their warehouse. They told me I could pick it up the next day. The next day I received a call from the warehouse telling me that the table had to be ordered and it would be in next Tuesday. The following Tuesday, they said it would be in next Tuesday. The following Tuesday, they said it would be in the next Tuesday. Finally, I picked up my order. They had to take it out of the box to get it in my car (which the sales guy had measured and said the box would fit in). Both I and the two guys loading my car checked and double checked that everything from the box was in my car. I got home and put the table together. When I went to put the chairs together I realized that the front chair legs were missing. I searched and they were not in my car. I called the warehouse and they confirmed there were no parts left in the box. So they ordered me replacement parts and said I could pick them up in two weeks (on a Tuesday). I called last Tuesday and they said that they won't be in until next Tuesday. I called today and they said "oh that's still on order, It won't be in until Friday". I am beyond frustrated at this point that it has been so many weeks and I still don't have a complete dining set. Their customer service is horrible and I will never shop there again. read more

I had been searching for months for the perfect couch and matching accent chair. In January, I found a chair that I loved on their website, so I went into the store where I found the couch that matched. I ordered both pieces. I was told they would be delivered on 2/18. While in the store, the salesman asked a lot of personal questions and told me he would give me "a pretty girl discount" (Gross!). He also said that if I give a positive review on Google+ that I would receive a $50 store credit. Is it legal to pay your customers for a good review? Seems a bit misleading. On 2/17, they called to set up delivery. Two hours later they called to let me know that the chair was on back order and asked if I still wanted the couch to be delivered tomorrow or if I wanted to wait until the chair came in. I asked when the chair would come in and the guy said by 2/27 or 2/28. I told them I would still like the couch to be delivered and to call me when the chair came in. On 2/28, I received a call from them asking how I'd like to set up a refund for the chair. I told them that I didn't want a refund-we just spoke yesterday and I was waiting for it arrive at the end of February. On 3//5, a week after they told me the chair would arrive, I called back because I had not heard anything. The guy said he had not received a shipment from that manufacturer lately and that he would call them and call me back and let me know what was going on. He never returned my call. I called back on 3/11-this time he said he would call again and return my call. He did not. I called back on 3/14-where he finally told me that the manufacturer had discontinued the fabric for the chair and they could no longer get it. I was very upset, because the only reason I went into that store was because I saw that chair on their website. I purchased the couch to match it and I was now stuck with a couch that I could not getting a matching chair for. I went online, searched every furniture store in the Midwest that has that collection. After a few days, I found a place in Joilet, IL that had one chair left-I drove there to get it. In the meantime, I called back to inquire about getting a refund for the chair. They said I had to go into the store. on 3/28, I went to the Castletown location and told them of the situation. They had me wait at least 20 minutes before helping me. They said they had to fill out a refund request and I would be mailed a check within 10-14 business days. I asked to see the refund sheet and it was about $100 less than what I paid for the chair. They called a few places to ask the price and said they couldn't tell how much I actually paid for the chair because the way their invoices and discounts were in the system. They finally changed the price to what I paid and gave me a copy of the Refund Request. On 4/20 (18 business days after the due date for the refund), I called and left a message inquiring about the refund. My call has not been returned and my refund has not been received. Awesome. I recently visited furniture for less with my fiancé. We were looking to purchase some furniture since we will be moving together over the Summer. It was my first time making what I consider a big purchase, so I was a little nervous. We walked in on a Wednesday and were welcomed right away. We went through all of the furniture that was part of the special, and picked out everything we liked, along with a few upgraded things. After we picked the items we liked we received a quote from the salesman so that we could go home and discuss everything. That next day we came in and decided to make the purchase. The sales person that helped us was very nice (Kenneth Floyd), however we told him that we were just browsing and wasn't looking to buy anything that day. About a month later i went back to Furniture For Less and i was still indecisive, but the same sales person, Kenneth Floyd, who by the way just came off of lunch break, helped me make the best decision for my living room space. We went to the store close to Castleton on May 24, 2015. Vincent was the salesman who was there for that day. He usually works at the Washington store. We bought over $3,000.00 in merchandise. We were told that is would take 6 weeks for us to receive it all. July 10th the truck came with part of our order. The sofa was scratched. We told the delivery men, they said not to worry that they would report it but would leave the sofa so we would have something to sit on. At the time we thought it was out of the goodness of their heart. Turns out that if you have the furniture in the home they will not give you a refund no matter what. Anyway I waited until July 14, 2015 and called Vincent who told me that the delivery men never reported it and that the correct procedure was to email ffldamages.gmail with an explanation and a picture. I did this right away. Two days later the 16th I received an email stating that they received the claim but not the picture, I resent it right then and there. On the 19th I emailed again to see if they had received the picture, they answered the next day giving me a cell phone to text the picture to. I did this then called the phone number. Keyla said it was her personal cell but not to worry about anything they would take care of it. Vincent then called to say that the tables, runner and sofa would all be delivered in the beginning of August. On August 10th I called and spoke to Jeremiah who said it would all be delivered on the 11th, nothing, then he said the 13th. They came with the tables (all damaged and I did not accept them) the runner, no sofa. The delivery man took a picture of the sofa (which I had already sent several times). I called Jeremiah who had the unmitigated gall to say that he told me and that I agreed that the sofa would not be delivered!!! I asked to speak with his supervisor, he would not even give me his name, said I had to deal with him. To say the least I was not happy. I am a very patient person, not much gets me upset. Just if someone hurts a child. But this person lied to my face, promised and did not keep his promise. Then said I agreed!!! I called the Washington store to speak with Vincent, he is not there. Darren offered to help. That this is not the way Furniture For Less does business. He assured me that the sofa would be delivered August 22. I called him back that same day to make sure since power lifts had to be added to the sofa, he called me back and said that was not a problem it would be here on the 22nd, it was not. I called him and he said he would find out what happened and would call me back no later than Monday August 24th. And that he would probably have to issue a refund. Well today is August 25th and I am still waiting for his call. UPDATE: August 27, 2015 I called Darren. He said he thought everything had been taken care of regarding my refund. I asked him if the refund would be for the sofa only, he said no, the refund would be for the full amount but that he would call me back. We were called by the Castleton site but when we returned the call Mike was not available. I explained what Darren had told me, the gentleman on the line put me on hold to look into it, he said he did not find any mention of a refund and would have Mike call right back. We waited all afternoon for the call. No Mike, no Darren. Patience is a virtue.... September 9, 2015 Well we waited and waited, no calls from Mike, Darren, Vincent, Jeremiah, Keyla, so I called my credit card company and put in a dispute for the charges. Yesterday, lo and behold, my husband received a call from who knows, asking us WHY we disputed the charges, my husband explained, his explanation was not received well, we were threaten with calls from lawyers because we have the furniture and the sofa was ordered and would be here in six, count them, six weeks. No one had bothered to call us and explain that. Anyway, we have heard that story before, been hearing it since July, and the result has been, no sofa. I wonder if I can write a novel about this...the saga continues. LAST ENTRY (I HOPE) September 24, 2015 After four, 4, cuatro months we finally got our sofa!!!!! We had to dispute the charges with our credit card for FFL to decide to do what they were supposed to do. When they got the notice of the dispute they all of a sudden were able to actually pick up the phone and call to let us know that the sofa was on its way. The furniture was not made out of the material they said it would be. It was very cheap and not well put together. The ACCEPTANCE NOW program is a joke. They say you can pay off earlier with no fees or penalties which was a lie. I called up there to pay the furniture off and they quoted ME a price that was almost triple the original AMOUNT. YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY ALL THE FEES AND SOME. Definitely not worth it you will pay 4x's the price of what it is worth. They acceptance people will tell you anything to get you to sign. read more
