Doug makes our sessions so much fun and we always end up with photos that look amazing! As our kids have gotten older, they look forward to seeing Doug each year. He has done such a great job capturing their changing personalities and making sessions easy and natural. Getting a 12 year old boy to actually not mind getting his picture taken is no easy task, but Doug seems to do it every year. Our family has truly appreciated the photos that Twig & Olive Photography has captured for us over the years. These photos are such wonderful memories that we will have forever. If you are looking for quality photography that looks natural, not posed, and that truly captures your family in the best way possible, Twig & Olive Photography is just simply the best there is.

Communication was great! They had a great spot picked out that made a great backdrop for our family photos. We were so happy with the photos we got back and can't wait to share them with family and friends. The best part of our experience working with Doug was how fun he made the shoot. My son deeply laughed throughout the shoot and at the end wanted to know when he could play with Doug again! We will definitely be working with them again!

Our family had the pleasure of working with Nick and we highly recommend. From our initial…read moreconversation to the end results, Nick was highly responsive, communicated clearly and did a fantastic job with our family photos. He had a very high-level of energy and enthusiasm during the actual shoot and during all interactions. He explicitly warned us when we wanted a certain shot that some of the variables weren't optimal, such as lighting/shadows. With this warning, some of these shots didn't turn out as we hoped. Understandable and not his fault. So I discount some of the reviews which talk about poor results as I bet this was due to unrealistic requests/expectations. The shots he 'directed' turned out fantastic! He did a phenomenal job with our young child and helping us craft the perfect family photo and memories. Overall we are very happy with our results and will not only ask Nick to help us with future photography, but we'll highly recommend him to others looking for a high quality, friendly and professional photographer.

Nick's photojournalistic style captured the feeling in every moment, and our pictures vividly show the emotion and excitement of the day. Nick was very easy to work with and kept us relaxed during preparation before the ceremony. For the staged group pictures, he was an effective wrangler of family members and even kept the kids (and difficult adults) engaged throughout. The bride and groom photographs were also fantastic, which is a testament to the great job Nick did helping us look natural and relaxed. Most of the day Nick was capturing interactions and activities seamlessly, and the candid shots embody the day so well that each of the images brings a smile when we look at them now. We highly recommend Nick Wilkes Photography for any wedding or event!

Romulo spent the day with us and did an incredible job capturing not only the memories of the day but also the emotions. He was with us for all of the important moments of the day, yet never in the way; he captured moments we didn't even realize he was there for. We're so thrilled we have his photos to look back at to remember our day by. We were extremely impressed with how our photos turned out, and could not recommend Romulo more!

He was very responsive when listening to what we were hoping to achieve and found an option that fit our budget. We had a few travel and medical schedules that caused a reschedule, but he was very considerate and understanding when we spoke a few weeks ahead of time. He wore a mask for our session and appropriately socially distanced (much appreciated during COVID times with family members of all ages). He travels light, which really speaks to his ability and talent to get incredible shots, both formal and candid. Will heartily and happily recommend him to friends and family.

We were overwhelmed by how many amazing photos we got, and friends and family can't stop commenting about how great the photography was. The portraits and detail shots were amazing, but the candid shots were our favorites. I think that's the most important--anyone with some basic skill can get the portraits, but it's really special to have a photographer who was able to get all those special non-posed moments (not just of us, but of our guests). Looking at the photos is really like reliving the day. Katie is also awesome to work with on the day of. She has great vibes and as soon as she arrived she got straight to business taking detail shots. She had the clear attitude that she knew what she was doing, and the photos prove it. She got along with everyone and communicated well before, during, and after. 11/10 would recommend!

My fiance and I booked with Autumn after weeks of searching for a wedding photographer. She was the…read morefirst person we found within our budget who's photography style we loved. Long story short, we did our engagement shoot with her about 5 weeks after initially booking. Leading up to the day she did not respond timely to emails, and only got back to us about the time we were meeting the day of. After the shoot, she told us that we would receive the link to our online gallery within TWO WEEKS. This was also the time frame posted on her website. Three weeks went by without a word from her, so we began emailing. No response. We called her. No response. After nearly 5 weeks we informed her via email that we would be withdrawing our business from her if we didn't receive our photos from her by that Friday. On Friday morning, my finace called the credit card company and disputed the charge that was our payment to her. A few hours later, Autumns husband emailed me with the link to our online gallery and a story about how she hadn't received any emails from us, and that she was up north out of cell phone range. He assured us that she would call sometime that weekend. It has now been another 2 weeks, and we still haven't heard from her. We informed her that we disputed the charge for our initial deposit and that we would not be doing our wedding photography with her. We did manage to download our engagement shoot images, but shortly afterwards the gallery was removed from the internet. Since we did get our photos, I emailed Autumn saying we were willing to work out some small payment. She did not respond. Autumn did capture some beautiful images of my fiance and I, and during the shoot we enjoyed working with her. However, due to the extreme lack of communication and professionalism, we would stronger advise against using her as your photographer. In addition, we now know that she previously had a photography business in Chicago called Autumn Photography. If you visit her yelp page under that name, you will find numerous other stories like ours.
