chicken, rice, and carrots in a styrofoam container

Food: zero stars. This was probably the worse food I had in a long time. The food was HOT and we had it within 3 or 4 minutes... microwaved? I think the carrots were the best thing. We spit out a quarter of it and threw the other half away so eat about 25% of it. Taste.... almost zero maybe COVID-19 had something to do with it? Trying to find something positive. Price: very over priced for the quality of food! There is a better place in town the cost more however I would give that place 4 or 5 stars so.... I would say save your money and eat a McD's or the other Japanese place. This place is like a low end Japan.... Chinese place. Drive Thur.... um... you drive around the building to place your order then come back to the right side of the building. It was confusing everyone. That should have been our first clue. Final comment: My $21 meals for 2 sesame chicken.... I will NEVER try it again. I was so hoping it was great. Maybe a bad night at 9pm in a small town. Maybe better around lunch time. Good luck!

First off - this isn't Japanese cuisine at all. They should just change their name to Chinese. We ordered the chicken and steak; sesame chicken; miso soups; and cheese wontons for DINE-IN. We were given all food in to-go Styro boxes. It's as if they discourage dining in. Everything tasted like any other Chinese food, only on the bland side. Even their fortune cookies tasted stale. They were about the only place open on a Christmas Eve so we really don't have a lot of options. But it was good enough I guess to get us filled for a couple more hours of drive during our road trip.

To start this off gotta say this place is why I downloaded this app, however the drive-through is super complicated and confusing with a bunch of signs that make it difficult to understand how to order properly. Now on To the food, the best part about the food was the Shrimp sauce had a good sweet flavor, but be sides that the chicken was terrible and was very disappointing. The chicken tasted like it was microwaved, me and my father continue to spit the chicken out because of how hard and uneatable the chicken was.It was so bad that we ended up throwing it away after only a few bites. The rice had no flavor just like like the chicken, however the food look really good but don't be fooled because it's the complete opposite! Truly I wouldn't go back there again. Definitely wasn't worth 21 dollars.

    ALL vegetables.... and old steak!

Their menu was limited as they were doing some special event. I still found a decent noodle dish to order. They did not have any protein add-ons (though good quality noodles have more protein than most people think). I added a side salad, which came out first. You know you're in the deep south when you're looking at a mound of cheese and somewhere under there is some vegetables coated in ranch dressing. But it was pretty good for what it was. My lavender lemonade delivered taste (and the aftertaste you get with lavender). My noodle dish was quite substantial and had some fresh-tasting vegetables. The flavor was mild and a bit sweet, and I could have gone for something spicier before realizing that they had the option to order it spicy and I did not take it (and wasn't asked). Altogether, a nice meal, not perfect, but you'll drive a long way looking for vegetarian-friendly food around here.

I suppose proximity to the Va Creeper Trail encouraged this as I could see folk holding up a table whilst waiting would be a potential issue. We were seated promptly and given menus and served water and sodas. The rock music was pretty loud for the restaurant, which has some smaller rooms that are serviceable but cramped and a bit echoey and dark. By 12:35 our order was in and by 12:51 on our table. The table has a nice individual light, and a bottle of water on the table. Unlike some other local restaurants, soda refills are free and a pitcher was brought by the table to serve refills of diet coke. What was not good was the large beer poster of the St Paulie Girl with her nipples hanging out. I realize these are beer posters and I realize they are German and things are different there. But this was a prominently placed poster. I just wouldn't think a place where a lot of families dine would put this in such a prominent spot, or any spot really. I'm not a super prude, I just raised three sons. So the sandwich though, was very good.

We are quite versed in Thai cuisine,…read morehave only become interested in Vietnamese cuisine in the past few years, but are completely ignorant of Lao food. The portion sizes here are huge! Here was our order: -Shrimp Salad (Summer) Rolls: 10/10...the rolls were twice the size of rolls you get at other Thai places for the same price. But with the peanut sauce, they were transcendental. That peanut sauce could be bottled and sold en masse. So so so good. -Papaya Salad: 7.5/10, very refreshing, but with a secret hit of spice on the back of the palate that wakes you up. Crisp, fresh, healthy. -Larb chicken: this was a first for me....to my unrefined palate, it tasted almost like ground chicken cooked with pho spices/herbs. I ended up drizzling some of the leftover peanut sauce on the chicken which was amazing. Again, lots of protein and vegetables, perfect for health-conscious folks. 9/10 -Pad Thai: this is my wife's safe order that she always uses as a litmus test for restaurants, and it did NOT disappoint! She said this was her favorite pad Thai EVER, and with drizzles of the extra peanut sauce and lime juice, this dish was truly elevated. 10/10. -Mango Sticky Rice: 100000000/10, my lord I don't know how I lived my life without this. It's reminiscent of peach cobbler in my opinion, but with mango. The sweetened rice isn't overly sweet, which allows the sharpness/sweetness of the mango to shine. The mango itself was perfectly ripe, whereas most mangos tend to be sickly sweet and mushy from overripening. All in all, this is our new favorite for Thai cuisine in Tri-Cities, and my introduction to Lao food was beautiful and filling. We will absolutely be back in the future, as I'd love to see how Lao pho differs from Vietnamese pho. Plus the mango sticky rice is etched into my mind permanently.

We were told there was going to be a 15 min wait, but we're seated with five minutes. We got crab Rangoon, which was delicious. The portion was fairly small for the price. But, fortunately main courses followed soon after. I got the pad thai and it was really tasty. I chose tofu as the protein, and they went fairly light on the tofu. Also, I'm used to my pod Thai having a few more bells and whistles, like more greens, sprouts, and more than one lime wedge. But, it's on me for not requesting extras of those things. I ate all of my food. The portion was just right for a sit down meal and that worked well for me because as a tourist who was bopping around town, I did not want to have a to go box. Service was friendly and attentive. The place was pretty big and fairly loud, but the tables were spaced well between each other so we weren't impacted by the noise on either side. If you're trying to find a place that multiple people will agree on, this isn't a bad choice because they have a variety of different cuisines. Overall, I would definitely stop back at some point, though I might not seek it out as my top choice for a place to eat in the area.
