fuel prices are fair enough, but this owner is VERY GREEDY!! Ive been gassing up at this store for at least two weeks since becoming a driver for a taxi company out here spending an average of about $60 five days a week. Today I went in with CASH, which is what most people prefer over transactions with cards. So anyway, making this owner aware that there was no receipt paper coming out of pump #4. He then had the nerve to tell me that receipts at the pumps are limited to card users ONLY. Which was a big fat lie. I've been (just about on a daily) able to get my receipts out from the pumps as opposed to going inside to get them after paying with CASH. I need my receipts for tax write offs during tax season. Anyway I gather this guy knows about gas stations gaining the right to hold $75 out of people's cards if customers use their cards at the pumps. He doesn't allow customers paying via debit either. Keep a close eye on this creep who thinks that just cause he owns a gas station in America, thinks he can treat customers like he owns them. Good day ! read more

I have used this station on Washington St. in Middletown Ct. a few times. I have never had an issue and I like that they don't charge extra for credit. It makes a difference. On Jan 19, 2022 however, I had the worst experience possible and will never step foot inside that place again. I had to go inside to pay for my gas with my credit card. It was declined. No issue. I just grabbed the wrong card. So I backed away from the counter in case another customer wanted to check out. I slid over to my right side a bit and checked my wallet for my other card. When I approached the counter I tripped on the matt that was on the floor by the counter. It was bunched up. It happens. But I have two new knees and my balance is not what it used to be. Due to the bunched up mat and my prosthetic knees, I fell forward. That put me straight into the glass cabinets that line the front of the store. They contain the smoking lamps and pipes. All breakable. I caught myself enough that I didn't knock over the cabinet, thank God, but some of the stuff inside fell over. Nothing broke. I apologized and then the man, who I can only assume as the owner, came around to see what happened. The woman at the register watched what happened but said nothing to me. Nothing at all. Nobody asked if I was ok. Nobody apologized. The man asked what I did. I said sorry sir I tripped on your mat. Its all bunched up and I tripped. He starts getting mad and yelling at me that I did it on purpose. WHAT??? I asked him why I would lunge forward at his glass case on purpose? He said because I was mad about my card being declined. So I lunged forward into a glass cabinet on purpose because a card got declined? That is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. Instead of realizing just how bat Shi$ crazy that sounds, he decides to continue to mock me and yell at me. He said nobody else fell on the mat all day. So what? So that means I can't trip over it because nobody else did that day? Wow, what logic. Yikes. So of course as he got louder, so did I. So then he yells at me to leave. Ok, I was leaving anyways. Why would I give business to an establishment that doesn't care when their customers nearly fall through glass cabinets due to their own negligence? I will never go near a place like that. Ever! I've been treated like this once before and it was at a gas station down the street. Irving. Same kind of unapologetic behavior when all the person working there had to do was act like a human being and care more about a persons well being than some smoking pipes.
