A family home display…read morethat should not be missed is the Soflo Christmas house in Hollywood near the Seminole guitar hotel. The family who own the home moved there in 2001. Each year they added a bit more to their holiday decorations. In 2006 they purchased their first control box to synchronize the lights to music. The display grew and they have been featured in the Miami Herald, South Florida Sun Sentinel, and on television. The Soflo Christmas house is on a corner so it is decorated to the nines on two sides with 50 inflatables, decorations, Christmas trees, and 250,000 lights synchronized to music every 30 minutes on the half hour and hour. During part of the show the inflatables are deflated to better see the lights. Although the show is free, the family that runs it accepts donations for St. Vincent de Paul food for the poor. An honorable mention goes to the house directly across the street that has the spirit too with a ton of lights and a yard full of inflatables. After the gut-wrenching year of 2020, we wanted to bring joy to our home at Christmas. We contacted David at Christmas Decor to decorate a tree for the foyer. David provided pictures of trees and we chose the one we liked and paid him to create it (as well as construct and take it down) -- for total fee of $2,800. On the day of the install David sent "designers" with ornaments that did not look ANYTHING like what we selected (totally different color scheme). Point blank: it was NOT the tree paid for. We contacted David IMMEDIATELY to fix this. He once again sent "designers" -- who showed up two hours late, were confused, lacking direction and unhelpful. The tree still wasn't what we asked for. We contacted David and asked him to remove it and refund our money. Rather than assist, he refused.... becoming hostile and sending rude and unprofessional texts. We had no choice but to take down the tree ourselves... and to our horror discovered the ornaments were USED and DAMAGED -- scratched, broken, and improperly wired causing a safety hazard. The quality was INEXCUSABLE. After talking to more people I keep hearing horror stories about David and this company... wish I would've known from the beginning. STAY AWAY!!!

I finally told him to cancel my order since they can not install at the promised date and he got very rude and threatening. He send me an invoice for cancelling my order. There were various variety of citrus. Grapefruit being one of my Mothers Favorite. Breakfast in our house always started with a half grapefruit. My favorite were the pink ones. I must have eaten enough in my life. I now have a terrible sensitivity to citrus! To this day Flamingo Groves on line store is my go to for ordering and shipping Florida fruit to family and friends. If there's a rotten piece in the shipment it has been my experience that they promptly send the customer a replacement for the bad pieces of fruit. If you love Orange Juice and Fruits you will not be disappointed. There's a lot to enjoy at this historical tourist location. There's tourist spots to enjoy up and down this stretch of Federal Highway. Go and spend the day. I'm a fan. I'm there in spirit today.........

They suggested we use our budget dollars to enhance the rear of our house as we would be looking out back much more than facing front. So they suggested specific palms to light in back which maximized the entire effect for us to enjoy. It was interesting that their experience in designing holiday lighting led them to point out that we (as opposed to our neighbors and drive-bys) would only see the front lights as we drove up to the house and parked in the garage. A two minute enjoyment. By placing more off our budgeted dollars into rear lighting we got to enjoy hours of holiday lights every evening for hours on end. In 2024, we replicated the earlier designs, but added much more to the rear of our property. Their technicians are proficient, professional and fast. When some light bulb went out we were serviced within 24 hours (twice). This is a good family owned small business and we are beyond happy with their personal attention and service!
