My partner and I visited Fruition at 135th for her birthday brunch while we were in Baltimore, and it exceeded our expectations from start to finish.
The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. The restaurant has a beautiful aesthetic, upbeat music that sets the perfect vibe without being overwhelming, and on a late Thursday morning it felt incredibly comfortable and relaxed. It wasn't crowded at all, and honestly felt like we had rented the place out for ourselves. We were able to take our time, enjoy our food, and really soak in the experience.
My partner ordered the Berries & Cream French Toast with a side of chicken sausage. The French toast was massive, and the combination of syrup, berries, and cream was unlike anything we've had before. Everything worked together perfectly. Since it was her birthday, the staff surprised her with a strawberry shortcake and ice cream. The ice cream was good, but that strawberry shortcake absolutely stole the show. Easily one of the best desserts I've had in a long time.
I ordered the Salmon and Grits, and it was outstanding. The portion was generous and very filling, but what really stood out was the salmon. It was seasoned so well that it's hard to put into words. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the entire dish exceeded my expectations.
The unlimited mimosas were a great addition to brunch, and the Lychee Mimosa was hands-down my favorite. If you're deciding which flavor to try first, start there.
A special shoutout to our server, Mike, who made our first visit even better. He was attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming throughout the meal. Great service can make or break a dining experience, and Mike absolutely elevated ours.
