I actually keep a list on my phone of the highest ranked ice cream shops in the US, and I plan to try all of them. Any time I travel, I always try the highest ranking ice cream shops wherever I am. Shake Station is practically in my backyard as I am a resident of Palmetto, FL for about 8 months out of the year and I am a regular at Shake Station. My review of the food is that it is good- it kind of reminds me of Bob's Big Boy type food, as it tastes better later in the evening. The ice cream is really what I go there for, and I really do like it, but I want to make a suggestion, which I will get to soon. The hand dipped ice creams are good, if not great. They have plenty of good flavors to choose from, with chocolate raspberry truffle being my favorite. They used to have a dark chocolate flavor at one time, but I haven't seen it in months, but I hope it comes back soon. The portions are great and the prices are excellent, especially compared to other ice cream shops in the area. The service is always good, the servers are mostly younger people who are always nice and friendly. My biggest issue with Shake Station is the way they make their hot fudge sundaes. They put the hot fudge in the bottom of the cup, then the ice cream on top, followed by whipped cream, nuts and a cherry. The problem is, by the time you get to the hot fudge, it is cold and very chewy, and it is stuck to the sides and bottom of the cup. I don't remember Shake Station doing this previously, but the last 5 times or so that I have been there, this has been the case, and it just ruins the sundae. Hot fudge is called a "topping" for a reason, not a "bottoming"- it should be served warm and placed on top of the ice cream. If Shake Station made this small change, I'm sure a lot of us sundae lovers would be very happy about it. I'll keep coming back to check on this and you won't have to twist my arm to do it!

I will start by saying I've been out front of this business. I couldn't even say how many times yet…read moreI never realized it has breakfast. That being said, I found it on yelp and I'm very glad I did. It's similar to a Panera bread/chipotle where you get in line with your menu place your order grab a number and sit down. My daughter ordered a pancake with blueberries on top and a side of two eggs. The pancake was perfectly cooked and delicious as were the fresh blueberries. We ordered the eggs over easy and they were a little under cooked (runny white). I ordered the smoked salmon, avocado toast, which comes with two slices of toast, smoked salmon, avocado spread, fresh tomatoes slices, capers, and red onions. The only thing missing was balsamic glaze IMO. The place is so cute with all its unique and quirky decorations. They have light fixtures made of license plates, blue glass water bottles, and even a surfboard. The tables are all mismatched. I love! It has perfect beach, vibes. There is no service, but the cashiers are very friendly and helpful. Also, as a tip, they have a coffee bar where you can find the silverware whatever you need for your coffee & cups to get plain water.

I normally don't like grits, but these were actually really good. My eggs were a bit overcooked, though I didn't specify how I wanted them, so that one's on me. The cinnamon roll was delish and HUGE. I was a little bummed it's heated in the microwave instead of the oven, but honestly... still very good. I'd go back and get it again. Coffee was very meh :( I'm still on the hunt for the best coffee spot in AMI. Overall, a great stop for breakfast if you're in the area.

Second Visit I have been back two times since my original…read morereview. The second time was with a friend for her birthday her choice. On this visit, we sat out front, which was clean with beautiful weather. I ordered the breakfast tacos, which had no meat just scrambled eggs. I added chopped bacon which didn't help much. The eggs tasted watered down. I've never seen breakfast tacos with no meat unless they were vegetarian. The prices should be more in line with what you're getting IMO. Third Visit On my most recent visit, I took my kids. They ordered the brioche French toast, which comes with two slices of French toast a few strawberries and blueberries. I ordered them a side of eggs scrambled not pictured. I ordered myself à la carte potatoes, and two eggs. Not impressed at all the eggs were supposed to be over easy and they had crispiness on the sides. My children did not like their scrambled eggs $6.94 for 3 eggs and non of us liked them. They tasted very watered down. I will say they did refund me on my 2 crispy eggs. We will not be going back anytime soon. Which is very unfortunate because this is in a great location, clean and the staff is very friendly. Their pricing for the quality is just way off. If you're charging $14 for 2pcs French toast and $7 for three eggs it should be mouth watering.
