Due to business mtgs I was not able to attend the hand over procedure and I authorized Ms. Silz to do it on my behalf. Again, she took care of it and managed the whole paper work, met with the landlord and did everything else that was necessary for a smooth transition. This is a company that says what they do and do what they say. If I could give 10 stars I would have done so. Very friendly, very professional, very reliable, always on time. No need to follow up or check on them. Their Modus operandi is Second to none. They are the best in the industry.

I have had to calm down a lot in order to be able to write this review. People have the right to…read moreknow what kind of company you will be dealing with when moving your house somewhere else. Agreed date with sales rep (Martin L.) was Monday, 28 July at 7.00h. That is where I start. 8 weeks to go and I decide to call S&K. When I called, they (Marc Z.) mentioned that they did not have an agreed date. I told them i agreed a date with Martin, but they said they did not have a date set. I told them the 28th and Marc Z. said that the 28th would not be possible, because their truck was coming from Germany and they would never be on time to finish the work. Sending the truck Sunday night was not an option. They would come in the afternoon of the 28th and pack everything, then load the container next morning (29th). Everything goes without problem until the 28th arrives finally. I am waiting for the truck to come and when I call at noon on the 28th, Marc Z says that the truck is delayed. They will probably not come until 16h00. I said fine. Then at 16h00 I receive another call from S&K back office. They say that they are again delayed and will probably come on Tuesday, since it is no use start packing at 18h00. The whole day gone. We agree that the driver will come at 7.00h in the morning, so they can start bright an early. Tuesday 29 July, I am waiting at 7.00h to welcome the movers. When after 15 minutes i do not see anyone, I call the driver. They gave me his phone number this time, so at least i have a direct line to the people that are helping me move. They driver says he is stuck at the border since last night (!) and cannot leave for another hour! That means he would normally arrive at 10.00h, since it is two hours from the border to my house. At 8.00h, the doorbell rings and i go downstairs. I see two local, older men who say they are here to help moving. Apparently they were hired by S&K to help with the packing. I explain the situation and tell them they are delayed until at least 10.00h. They have no material so cannot start working. They decide to wait outside. At 10.00h no truck, so i call the driver. He says he just left the border !!! No call, no nothing. I call the head-office to mention this and mention to Marc that this is not the service that i expected, etc... The local movers are informed and i let them know the driver says he will be here at 11.30h. When 11:30h arrives, nothing. I call again, he says he is 20 minutes away. After 20 minutes, 30 minutes, nothing. i call again and he says he is 15 minutes away.... Finally an hour later he arrives and i noticed he is by himself!!!!! This means that this driver and these two middleaged men are supposed to pack the whole apartment. At that moment, i actually do not care, because i am very happy they finally arrived, 30 hours after the initial time we agreed with Martin L. They start to move their boxes and tape and carboard in, when all of a sudden one of the locals says that he has to go to lunch! Mother.....f....#$* I did not say that but satyed very calm and was still under the impression it would all work out. The after progresses and it looks like it is going as scheduled, but when 17.00h comes, there is still a lot to do. The local that went to lunch, actually left to go to the bank for 45 minutes, which again caused more delay. At 18.00h, things start to get worse. Both the local mention that there day is up. They have to go home... I tried to call Marc Z in Germany, but he does not answer the phone, i tried to call Martin L. in a desperate effort and he answers. i explain the situation and he said he would take care of it. In about 30 minutes, the manager of the two locals calls and says he needs approval from S&K to send two guys back to finish the job. He cannot get a hold of anyone and says his hands are tied. meanwhile, the truck driver of S&K is working on and says he does not want to leave me alone. One of the only positives that day, but actually a bare minimum they could have done. At 18.30h I think that nothing will happen anymore and they would have to come back on Wednesday 30 July, which would give me half a day to clean the apartment, which is 2 days less than planned. At 19.00h the doorbell rings and the boss of the two locals, the locals themselves, plus 3 other locals show up to finish the job!!! They more or less saved the day and finish everything by 21.30h. All in all, a horrible, horrible experience. In California, the company that unpacks our goods, Intersect Systems International, was great. They were quick, but noticed numerous problems with the inventory lists, how they packed our goods, I even found an empty pack of cigarettes in one of the boxes, that one of the chain smoking locals packed in a box... There was some damage to some items, but that can happen. This whole thing could have been an incident, but they way they managed a crisis situation was deplorable. I will never work with these people again!
