Coincidently lined up…read morein our trip right after we landed and checked in the hotel, changed and walked over at the lovely Tennis Court, what a way to ease in your jet lagged & kept busy though we barely made it to the end of the game, thanks to my ice coffee It's definitely not Indian Wells, there were only 2 courts we saw, one for Semi Final Singles & the other for Doubles clay courts. Watching it from the TV and being there live is so surreal, imho. It wasn't cheap as we thought Alcaraz was gonna be in the Semi's & unfortunately he withdrew after we got our Tix so Tickets went down significantly. However, it was more an experience for us and make sure to wear a lot of Sunscreen, bring your big hat & sunglasses

I must say that I'm quite happy with this gym…read more (again - I have no basis of comparison with other Spanish gyms - but in comparison with gyms from Los Angeles - this one is pretty damn good) The spin instructors are approachable and helpful - with lots of enthusiasm. I'm kinda learning the commands in Catalan and Castellano. The music is a bit *meh* - but I had the best spin instructor who always had awesome playlists at Pilates Plus Downtown LA (Lisa) so i'm a bit biased/homesick. One thing I am not a fan of: the shared entrance/exit with the movie theatre. I don't like walking out of the gym and into a place with people on dates while I'm still all sweaty.

I did my swim workout in the indoor pool 25m length, but finished in the outside 50m pool for the experience. There is a locker room upstairs for the indoor pool. You need a swim cap and shower before getting in. Just pick an open lane or ask to join a lane. They have pull buoys & kick boards you can use. Pools were great, locker rooms are a little old but not bad at all. If you are training on vacation like me or just want some exercise it's a great place to go. They open at 7:30am (outdoor pool @ 10am), I rode the bus there. The day pass also gives you access to the gym, bikes, etc... Check with front desk for details.

After a trip up the outdoor escalators and a walk up the mountain or a ride on a funicular to Montjuic you would be forgiven for thinking that was quite enough exercise for one day . However, the dedicated swimmer will find 2 quality pools of 50m and 25m length, one indoor and one outdoor, which are great for serious training if you can keep away from starring at the views. Unlike the pools, the changing facilities are not top class and there is little in the way of food or drinks but you can bring your own and there's various terraces for spectators and also sun loungers to sit on. The place definitely has a professional feel and there are no shallow pools but as with everywhere in Barca children are definately welcome (under 6s free) and even nudists are catered for with their own swimming sessions. Great in the summer morning sun. Open all year except Dec 25.

I could only imagine what it was like all those years ago in time. Waking up, eating breakfast, doing your morning walk before you start your day. Then again at night before sundown and bed. Some breathtaking views. Must visit! We did it two times because the first time we rushed before closing time and like a knucklehead i accidently deleted all of our photos.

Parc Güell is an attraction you MUST go to when in Barcelona!…read more This park is HUGE. Definitely plan to be here for 2 hrs to walk around & enjoy each part. We ended up going to visit twice this trip, at night. Last year, I went early in the morning. I suggest going either early in the morning or around sunset. During the day, it gets pretty crowded and very hot. This park was originally intended to become a luxury garden city with 60 houses, however, only two houses ended up being completed. Parc Güell is still my favorite works designed by Antoni Gaudi. I recommend buying tickets ahead of time but the tickets are more readily available to purchase than Sagrada Família. I was able to buy tickets for our second visit the night before, without issues. Transportation: I booked a ride via Cabify rideshare and it drops off right by the entrance of Carretera de la Carmel (east side). I highly recommend leaving the park from this side too; easiest to call a cab, as other exits you have to walk down a bit due to car restricted access.
