This is by far the best staffing agency with which you can work. If you're in Houston and looking…read morefor a job, you need to call them! My first contact was Amy (sadly she's moved away), who I met at a job fair. I heard back from her the same day and was in to meet with her two days later. She had something temporary for me within a week. And she had interviews set up for temp-to-hire positions not long afterward. After Amy left, I started working more closely with Lindsey. She set me up with a great temporary position. The supervisor there stopped his interviews for the position after a few days of me being on site. I then went temp-to-hire and when the time came, Lindsey stayed on him about getting me a permanent offer. I worked for that company for two years, with a promotion. I have nothing bad to say about this organization. From receptionist, to payroll manager, to recruiters, this company to stocked with highly trained individuals who truly care about their clients- both companies and job seekers.

From the first day I signed up (a month ago) through today, I have been on multiple interviews and have been notified of positions that I might be interested in. I am consistently impressed at the contact my recruiter keeps with me. Whether it's an email or by phone, we talk nearly everyday. The recruiter that I work directly with is Jessica Randolph. She works wonders! She truly cares about finding a good position for you. Now if I can just not suck so much at interviews, maybe I can actually land a job :)

This is my first time ever requesting unemployment it's super stressful and hard to fully understand but CARMEN was super informative and helpful answering every question I had and guided me through my online troubles with the workforce website. I don't know what the other people are like there but I'd just ask for CARMEN just to be sure you get amazing customer service! Keep up the great work!

The Houston Texas Workforce Commission system has felt profoundly disorganized, dismissive, and…read moredeeply discouraging to navigate. At a time when vulnerable people are coming to them in genuine need of help, guidance, and timely support, the experience instead can feel cold, bureaucratic, and painfully indifferent. What has been most heartbreaking is not simply delays or confusion, but the feeling that human beings in crisis are too often treated like paperwork instead of people. When someone's health, livelihood, dignity, and future are hanging in the balance, a system entrusted to help should never leave a person feeling abandoned, unheard, or defeated. I entered this process hoping for advocacy and meaningful assistance. Instead, I have too often been met with contradictions, lack of clarity, poor communication, and decisions that seem disconnected from the real-life consequences they carry. No one seeking help through a vocational rehabilitation program should walk away feeling more hopeless than when they arrived. It's a horrifying program and should be shut down.
