I used their website to see what was available to my address, Upon learning that 7 gig was available for $109/mo with autopay I signed right up on March 15th, 2026. Set the install date for March 28th, 2026. Well the 28th came and went, no email, app notification, phone call about the install date being moved. Waited all day, saw a frontier van pull up three houses down and thought maybe hes just running late. Well nobody showed up. I tried calling but of course you cannot get a human on the phone on the weekends. They took it upon themselves to schedule me for a thursday between 8am-12pm, you know, when most people are at work. Turns out that the 7 gig internet I signed up for isnt available to my address like their website said it was. All the guy would say was that 7 gig will eventually be available and when I asked for a ETA he said that information is not provided. The guy tried getting me to sign up for the 5 gig internet for $89.00/mo which sounded good until right before I agreed I asked him to go over the pricing again and it was $89.99/mo + $10.00/mo equipment rental + $6.99/mo Internet Security. At this point I asked the guy why would I pay $2.02 less a month for a lesser service? The equipment and security was included in the $109 price for the 7 gig. He said oh well when the 7 gig becomes available you will be automatically swiched right over. I asked him if when I am switched over if they are still going to charge me extera for the equipment and internet security, to which he couldnt give me a straight yes or no anwer. I told him to just cancel the whole service order and intall and everything. Then the guy has the audacity to tell me that he is "sorry for the misunderstanding on your end." Excuse me? FRONTIER INTERNET IS THE ONE WHO SOLD ME 7 GIG INTERNET EVEN THOUGH THEY CANNOT PROVIDE 7 GIG INTERNET. This is a giant scam by a giant company. Keep your distance or have a lawyer ready. I've been without internet service from Frontier for over a week now, and not once have I received a real update--just generic, copy-paste messages. Phone support offers no way to speak to a human, and messages through Facebook lead nowhere. To make things worse, I asked to cancel my service and was told I still have to pay for the upcoming billing cycle, which starts the 16th--even though I currently have no service. This level of disregard for paying customers is unacceptable. Frontier needs to be held accountable for poor communication, lack of support, and their refusal to adjust billing for service they're not providing. If you're considering Frontier, don't. Had frontier for about a yr and a half Worked great the first yr. Then my devices started losing internet (still said connected) and I would have to keep restarting the router maybe like once every day or two. Contacted them. They "updated" the router. Still having the same issue. Contacted them again. They said they could see the router was not working properly. sent me "new" router (it was more beat up then the one I originally had). Still having the same issue. They are saying that nothing is wrong with it. Summary: On June 24, 2025, Frontier scheduled the burial of my service line. Since then I've had multiple scheduled appointments (four no-shows) and no work performed. One technician after the initial appointment told me they were "still waiting," but no one has returned to complete the burial. Frontier offered a temporary drop, but it would have wrapped completely around my house. I declined because of the high risk of accidental damage by lawn crews and the possibility I would be billed for that damage. I chose to wait for the proper buried line. As of September 10, 2025, that's ~11 weeks of delay with four missed appointments. Impact: I'm a college student and IT worker. I've rearranged my schedule repeatedly to be home for these appointments, which has cost me time and disrupted work and school. If Frontier were my only available internet, these repeated no-shows would put my coursework at risk. Requested resolution: Complete burial within 7 business days and confirm date/time in writing; or provide a temporary solution that does not expose me to liability for accidental damage. Credits for every missed appointment and the extended delay. A written explanation of why the burial has not been completed and how Frontier will prevent further no-shows. Confirmation that I will not be charged for any provider-side delays or construction issues. Evidence available: screenshots of appointment confirmations, call logs showing unanswered/failed appointments, and notes from the technician conversation. One of the worst customer service internet providers. Be very wary of their typical "bait and switch" tactics. It will cost you $50 restocking fee, $100 early termination fee, and 1 months fee (no proration); and $150 + tax if equipment hasn't been returned, so be sure to keep your receipt from UPS. Everybody plays stupid when you call them about it and that there is nothing they can do. You can literally spend hours on the phone with them and get transfer to a myriad of personal and get no help what's so ever. How they stay in business is beyond comprehension. read more

My install was cancelled 2 times before I got the service installed Then I made the mistake of upgrading from 1 gig to 2 gig service and was told to send my eeros pro 7 back and would receive new ones. when I asked why because the eeros pro 7 supports 5 gig on primary port and 2.5 on secondary port I was told because I was downgrading. I told Frontier I was upgrading not downgrading. I was then told I would be getting a new router and extenders anyway. I received an emtpy box with a UPS label and instructions to send my old equipment back and put the new equipment I just received in place which I didnt get. I spent hours trying to get this straightened out after being told to send equipment back or Id be charged $2000 for the router and extenders. I'm in North Carolina. Frontier's internet is truly terrible. Getting them on the phone to help with issues has been unreal, and once you do, they cannot guarantee any speed. I clocked the internet at less than 2mb/second over 30 times. I have no idea how we're even streaming a single tv show. It goes out completely about once a month for 1-24 hours. When I cancelled, they charged me to ship the equipment, and they charged me a "restocking fee" and they charged me for the entire month even though it was 2 days into the month. Truly disappointing from every angle. I would have cancelled earlier if there were any other option until now. read more

They were total pros from start to finish. They had a great attitude, were incredibly knowledgeable, and worked hard to figure out the problem and get everything up and running. You could tell they actually cared about doing the job right, and they didn't give up until it was fully resolved. If you're lucky enough to have Nathan and Marcus handle your install, you're in great hands. They got it done when no one else could. Highly recommend! read more

We have been Frontier customers since they were Verizon. We've had 100 mbps forever and recently our router went down and a service tech changed out our equipment and because they no longer offered the lower speed, we had to increase our speeds to 500. Our tv shows began buffering and lagging and come to find out, the adapter that was installed was outdated. A new one was ordered but never arrived and after 12 days without any service and a second call a new adapter was received. But, that didn't work either. Today is day 13 without service and countless hours spent on the phone with technical support. And a service tech can't be here until Saturday which is 5 days away. We've had nothing but issues with Frontier with nothing resolved. Time to look for a new internet service. Frontier needs to up their game and do right by their customers. read more

I had the service for exactly 50 days before I gave up, I had to reboot my router 2-3 times a days because it kept loosing the connection from the ONT, and I called for support multiple times, finally they told me that they were charging me $30 to talk to support, and $150 to have a tech come out to fix the issue, so I refused to pay and requested to cancel the service. no they wanted to charge me $175 to cancel the service because they stated I refused to have someone come out to do the repair. September 2024 attempted to cancel internet subscription. Customer Support (CS) told me that I would need to cancel on-line. I did not have the company provided PIN for the account and was told that one would have to be sent to the address of service. I emphasized that this is an RV park, I had never established an address at this location and was vacating the RV lot. I requested the PIN be sent to my billing/permanent address. CS was adamant about sending the PIN notification to the service address. CS also alerted me that I had approximately $138 credit at that time. The RV Park manager agreed to look for a letter from Frontier. Contacted the park manager frequently but no communications from Frontier was received. Early December notified at my permanent/billing address of a past due account balance of $50.76. I again contacted CS and was told that service could only be terminated on-line and once again, I emphasized that I needed a PIN to access my account. CS stated that a new PIN was being sent to my billing location. A PIN was never received. Late December I had not received the PIN for my account and again contacted CS and the VP/CFO of Frontier via returned receipt mail. No response but did get a call from CS. We went through setting up a new online account to cancel service. Also informed my account was credited the value at September cancel ($138 confirmed via email). Following service cancel, was informed of router restocking fee ($50). Router return complicated by: -No return address provided -Invalid QR code was provided for UPS return shipment -CS informed me a return UPS box would be sent to me for return of the router but return mailer was sent to the RV Park that I had vacated four months prior (park management was kind enough to forward the mailer as soon as it was received) -The router was returned, notification of account closure provided NO REFUND OF ACCOUNT BALANCE has been provided ($138 - $50). Before they bought out Verizon I had FIOS and loved it. Then Frontier took over and things went downhill. I ended up requesting just WiFi at $50/month...which increased to $94.49/mo. After 11 1/2 yrs, I cancelled service at the end of December 2025. Then received another invoice for January at the full amount. When I contacted them to question it, I was told the December billing went to 12/28 and because I had it for 3 days into the next billing cycle, I was required to pay for the entire month. No one ever informed me when I called to cancel at the end of the month that was the deal...no prorating it, just full on the entire month. I will NEVER recommend or use Frontier ever again. What followed was nearly four hours of repeated calls, where I was transferred between multiple representatives, placed on long holds, and disconnected several times. Each time I asked for a callback if the line dropped -- and each time, no one called back. Not one representative took accountability or escalated to a dispatch manager despite my repeated requests. This level of service is unacceptable. Our business is not simply using internet for entertainment -- it runs on internet access to serve clients across the United States. The continued delays are directly harming our ability to operate. The last agent I spoke with, Abby, was the only one who made a genuine attempt to investigate, ultimately suggesting I contact the Retention Team this morning. Unfortunately, after another call at 8:00 - 10:00 AM today, I am met with the same circular conversations, repeated order intake, and no resolution. This is now beyond frustrating -- it is negligent. At this stage, I am demanding: A technician dispatched today, Saturday, August 23, to complete the installation. Immediate escalation to a dispatch manager or regional supervisor. Written confirmation of the corrective action being taken. Compensation for the missed appointment, wasted hours, and disruption to business operations. If this cannot be resolved immediately, I will have no choice but to file a formal complaint with the Public Utilities Commission, escalate through state regulators, and review alternative providers. I tried to order Frontier. The first person put it in the system and told me to call back. I in a second person spent 20 minutes talking about how first person put it in the system wrong she finally ordered a technical my home. The technical person said that the line was cut and was gonna get another person to come out and repair it. The third person came out to repair it and found out that the first person put absolutely nothing into the system for him to know what line and where it was cut. He said he to gain access to two my homes in the condominium below . And he wanted me to organize that. it I'd managements job to policy the work, train the workers and validate that the process is working. I read online that Frontier had really bad customer service. Frontier has been awful! My internet never worked. I spent 5 hours over a month texting with many different "people" all giving me different answers. They ended up sending me a new box and that didn't work. Their installation was sloppy - they left behind yards of cable hidden inside a cabinet. Here's the situation with Frontier. When, yes, WHEN their service is up and running it is a great service. However when there are issues, you can't get a live person for help. And once you do get someone after an hour or so in hold and dealing with their crap Giga chat service, you get subpar service. I have been waiting for a tech since Sunday. Yes I've been without service since Sunday. Mind you I'm a remote worker and I need my service to work and pay bills. This outage has already cost me thousands of dollars in commissions and a huge contract with my job, putting my job in jeopardy. They don't care!!! Sad honest truth. I signed up for Frontier's 7Gbps fiber internet plan with the expectation of fast, reliable service suitable for both work and home needs. Unfortunately, since the beginning of my service, I've experienced ongoing issues that have made the connection unreliable and, at times, completely unusable. The most pressing problem is frequent outages and unstable speeds. Despite paying for one of Frontier's highest-tier packages, the actual performance rarely lives up to the advertised speeds. On multiple occasions, my internet has dropped for hours or even days at a time. This has significantly disrupted my work and personal life. I've contacted Frontier customer support numerous times, and each interaction has yielded different explanations--blaming equipment, neighborhood congestion, or "pending escalations." I was scheduled for a technician visit which was later canceled without notice. Even one of the representatives I spoke with informally admitted the system had known issues and freely gave his name and employee ID--clearly aware of the ongoing problems. To date, no resolution has been provided. I've spent hours on hold, repeated my situation to multiple agents, and still have no consistent or dependable internet. I'm now seriously considering switching providers even if it means slower speeds, just to regain stability. At this point, I am requesting either: A full refund for the months of unreliable service, or The ability to cancel my service without early termination fees, due to Frontier's failure to provide the product as advertised. I'm submitting this complaint to document the issue formally and in hopes that Frontier will take real steps to address this--not just for me, but for other customers in similar situations. read more

Horrible business. Horrible call center setup. Long wait time, hard to hear 3rd party customer service techs and supervisors. High background noise, delayed answers, hard to understand. Repeat tech appointments that cancelled or rescheduled 5 minutes prior to the huge 8-5 window they provide just absolutely wasting your personal or business accounts. We have one of each and they are both ran horribly. The same with the contractors they hire to do their overhead work. Just absolutely kicking the can down the road. Today is day 17 without service to our business and it will be 23 days without service IF the contractor that's coming out on the 17th will do their job without cancellation or issue to delay. And the other big time waster is they don't communicate just reschedule so you are forced to escalate if you want to get service back. We even had a crappy supervisor erase elaborate notes in the system so when we called again they are left clueless and unhelpful!
