After my experience @ Hembourgh Ford(See my 1 star review for that), I found myself here. They didn't jerk me around at all. Where as the other guys told me I had no rebates, these guys showed my that I had 2500 in rebates! And with a Costco pricing I was getting closer to getting the truck I wanted. My trade in came in about 1000 dollars below what I needed to make this work. The salesman Julio said, if I give you another 1000 on your trade in can we get this done? Purchased a Ford truck at Fritts Ford which ended up being a Lemon, ridiculously incompetant mechanics or they just have no integrity. One of the many reasons I was in the shop for was the air conditioner, it wasnt blowing and was still under warranty. Received a call from the service advisor stating it looked like a piece of paper or maybe dirt got sucked up from the glove box, huh? Really so i shouldnt put paper in the glove box? where should i store my registration? Or I should make sure my husbands work boots are dirt free before getting into the truck? Dude its a work truck Anyway then he proceeds to tell me that the only way to find out is to tear out the whole dash and if it was something that got sucked up then it would cost $1000 so my husband asks to speak to the service manager whom he asked why they dont have a camara to put down there and check without tearing the dash apart, the manager checked then says yes they do have that (so why would you have to tear the dash apart?) Anyway it was defective and fixed under warranty. Skip forward 2 weeks and again the air doesnt blow and so here we go again, anyway after a minimum of 10 visits to this dealer for 3 different issues and many lost days of work without the truck for my husband, I called up Ford Motor Credit and told them where they could pick up there truck. Due to the incompetance of this dealership I will never buy a Ford again. went across the way to the Dodge dealership and bought a Ram and the only complaint is I wasted money on an extended warranty cause with this truck we are at 110,000 miles and never had the need to take to the dealer other than the free oil changes. I once bought a bad Nissan but at least Nissan stood behind there product and took care of the customer instead of doing everything they could to make it NOT be a warranty covered repair. Mrs Fritts, you really need to think about getting rid of the unprofessional staff who do not value the job you have hired them for and replace them with people who realize that without customers you have no business so you might want to hire new trainers to teach your staff how to treat people because the service staff you currently have are a joke. read more

I am so frustrated with Fritts Ford! I bought my Ford Edge from them a year ago. Since then it has been in 6 times for the same problem! This last time I asked "when does it become non-repairable...lemon". They said "well we need to contact Ford and ask for their help first". WHAT? You mean you have had my car 5 times before this already...for the same thing...and you haven't called Ford for help yet?!? Now they are waiting on a part to install...a part that tested out fine. This repair shop is nothing but crooks. Took the car to a mechanic that we know and could trust because it is hard to find those mechanic in today's world. We were told that the computer was fried and it had to be taking to a Ford dealership so we took it to fritts because redlands Ford is a joke too. That was another big mistake. Was told we needed a new motor and a lot of other problems with the car. When the 1st mechanic never found any of the problems with the car, as what fritts ford is trying to claim. They assume we are a family of idiots and we don't know they are talking about. There is a reason why I personally will never buy a Ford, however unless it is a 7.3 diesel which Ford in general screwed that up too. My suggestion is to do your research on the car or truck your buying and make sure it is a good one. We all have your opinions about the brands of cars/trucks. I personally don't trust Fords or chevys because I had nothing but problems with both and same goes for other friends of mine. read more

I can't believe the poor service from Fritts Ford Service Department. They were all to happy to take my money and make me a "deal". However, when it comes to providing customer service, IT STINKS! When it comes to them being upfront and honest regarding repairs, THEY"RE NOT! Bought my Ford F150 here 8 months ago. I love my truck, but my only 2 experiences with their service dept has been terrible. Dropped off truck today for oil change at 9:00am and was asked if I wanted to wait for it or get a call when it's ready . I chose to wait for call. After waiting 2 1/2 hrs. I had someone drop me off. When I asked for my truck they said they hadn't even started it and would be another 11/2 hrs. I could not believe it.My last experience was very similar. Arrived at Fritts Ford service dept. for an oil change, tire rotation, and check out for cross country road trip, left with oil leak ( oil drain plug was stripped during overtightening), power steering pressure hose leak less than 10 minutes later, and tires with 20,000 miles on them were supposedly dry rotted and could not be rotated, and false statements on the multipoint inspection, all by mechanic #575. read more

The service center is complete shit. Every time I come here for a simple oil change I wait 2-3 hours. Today I came for an oil change and the sensor for my hood needs to be replaced (I explained when I first arrived that when I start the vehicle it tells me the hood is open when it's obviously not) my service guy walks in 3 hours later and asks "what does hood sensor mean?" Are you kidding me.. 3 hours and counting, I'm still here waiting, spoke to the lady at the service desk that you pay when all your work is done, and she told me she cannot give me an estimated time on how much longer it will be... this time and the last 2 times I have come here I have had to ask them to just hurry and skip washing it so I wont have to wait another 30 minutes for the wash. It's ridiculous, I have no idea who to complain too at Ford, so I am venting on here instead. Grrrrrr read more

I made a Yelp account just to share my experience here and to let others know...because it was so bad. I had issues with my transmission (Ford Focus ugh), got it towed to an auto shop and was told to get it towed to a Ford dealership. Got it towed on a Saturday, got the confirmation from the towing company and my insurance company, silence from Ford. Closed on Sunday. I called them over 10 times on Monday, got put on hold frequently and told they couldn't find my car in their system, and ultimately they ending up "finding" my car at the end of the workday. So for almost a full workday my car was "lost". This kind of behavior continued for the next two weeks as they took until the end of the week to diagnose my car (which had already been done at another shop), while telling me they will not pay for a rental until repairs have started. Sorry, but I don't know anyone who can go without a car for over a week in California. After them losing my car I requested more frequent updates, which I scarcely got. They had me on hold constantly, meaning I spent anywhere between 15 to 45+ minutes on hold each day, while they tried to find someone who knew what was going on with my car. I even showed up in-person a few times to get answers (losing out on work hours for this) and it took way too long to track them down and did not reassure me. In the end they replaced one part under warranty and the battery so it was pretty cheap. When I picked up the car, it took them 40 minutes to drive it to me and let me take it off the lot, but I could literally see it within walking distance the whole time. They wanted to charge me over 2000$ for a new clutch, so I drove it down the street to a mechanic who gave me a great deal, was timely and treated me like a valued customer. I'm by no means a car expert, and it pains me to write negative things, but my experience at Fritts Ford Service Department was HORRIBLE. I understand with COVID-19 and the current state of national affairs, a lot of places are struggling, but this was inexcusable. I give this place one star because at the end they gave paid my rental for 1/14 (That's it? Really?) days, but after this experience and discovering the Ford Focus transmission scandal, I'm never buying anything Ford again. read more

AT ALL COSTS, Avoid this bait and switch and unscrupulous dealership. It all started in 2017. Went into Fritts with a specific truck in mind. I do my research. I even new the bottom price. I was told they could beat the best price. They did by $300. Here's where it gets shady at best. They said they didn't have it in inventory but if I left a $500 deposit, did the credit check they would have the truck the next day. I would call every day, and was given a complete BS run around, the "sales guy is busy", "the other dealer won'y call us back" etc. etc. Well fast forward, a week and a half went by, no truck, and credit dinged! Finally I cornered them said produce the truck or I'm out! And they gave me the story that "we were on our way to get the truck, when we got there the dealer had just sold the truck, but we found another one for $1500 more". After that I went elsewhere found a truck and beat the price. At least I got my $500 check back. Fast forward again. That 2017 truck wound up getting bought back by Ford. Now I was in the market for a new 2018 truck. Thought, I live in Riverside, I'll support local business and give them the benefit of the doubt. BIG MISTAKE!!! I again am very educated on the truck I want, color, engine, trans, drive-line, amenities and price. They said "We can get that truck" I told them in detail about the situation from before, "we have a new team here now, we don't do things like that". This time I negotiated the price, but would not put a down payment. They kept pressuring me to come in to do the paperwork. I said not until I see it, touch it and drive it! So last Friday, I had them provide assurance that it in fact was the truck, there was a question about the interior color. I asked for a picture. They produced the window sticker. It exists, they said they are going to get it now. I did the credit over the phone, all is good. About an hour later I get a call, you guessed it, "we were on our way, they just sold it" and imagine this, "We found an almost identical truck for just about $2k more". I had some choice expletives for their Sales manager. He kept trying to stick with their lie that the truck was sold out from under them. So I said tell me who had it, I will verify and maybe apologize. He told me. I called North County Ford, they did verify it was scheduled to be sold, TO FRITTS FORD! But they never came to get it!! BAIT AND SWITCH!!!! So I went to North County Ford the next day and bought the vehicle for about $1000 less. Moral of the story "Fritts is a Tiger that will never change their stripes". read more

Purchased a fleet van here, one week later the floor has a hole in it from a light piece of furniture, the person that helped me said ford would not warranty the cheaply made Vinyl flooring. She brushed it off with no care and didn't try to help me with the issue. No vehicle should have this problem especially being a commercial vehicle that should be tough enough to hold a light piece of furniture with out ripping a hole through, upon inspection, the flooring was super thin and really disappointing. Took my F350 in for a noise... sounded like bearings going out since it got louder as you drive faster. Sure enough, Jim said they definitely heard the noise, and it was coming from the right bearings, and suggested replacing the left also, since they "probably" would go out soon. $1800.00... but what are you gonna do? Expensive, but it is Ford, so it will be done correctly. Then I get the call from Jim... "Well, we got about 60% of the noise, but there is still a noise there." My 51 years of Wisdom tells me something ain't right here. I tell him not to do anything else, and I'll be down to pick up my truck. In a hurry Saturday morning, I arrive and pay the $1800.00 (gee... hoping it would have at least been washed, but of course not) and take my truck. As soon as I pull out... you got it... THE SAME NOISE!! No, not 60% quieter... not 30% quieter... nothing! THE SAME NOISE!! What is most angering is Jim and Ford couldn't admit what they "fixed" was NOT the problem. They still had to "attempt" to justify that they gave me some type of value for $1800.00. So I immediately call, but no one at Ford can speak to my problem... they tell me I have to speak to Kyle K. or Richard P. on Monday. Right now... I'm livid of course, so I'm writing here now to blow off steam. I'll follow up on Monday when I call and see what Kyle or Richard is going to do... hmmmmm... any guesses??? UPDATE: Took back into Ford and they agreed to take a look and fix for no charge. They discovered it was the REAR bearings that was making the noise. I was in NY so my wife picked it up and said the noise is gone... I have yet to drive it. I told them I understand it was no charge, but I already paid $1,800.00, and the real fix was just under $400.00, so should I be responsible for the difference. Honestly, I did NOT expect them do refund the entire difference... and I would "grudgingly" accepted any amount they were going to refund... but they REFUNDED the ENTIRE DIFFERENCE in price. That was the right thing to do. I told them I would update my YELP comments. Oh... and this time the truck was washed! ;-) read more

Met with service writer and service manager about my service truck that was towed to them with a blown engine. Service manager assured me they would look at it first thing the next morning and have me a quote by end of that day. A call was made to us from the tech telling me we did need a new engine. I waited until the end of day and made a call to my service writer. Who couldn't remember anything about the truck. He looked into it and told me the truck was still in the parking lot and hasn't been pushed into the work station for the tech to inspect. I asked how the tech knew it needed a new engine if he hadn't inspected yet. He replied I told him I thought it needed a new engine. I called and complained to the secretary of the General manager and was assured I would receive a call back from him. Never happened to this day. Towed truck out of fritts to another dealer and they have been excellent 23k job lost by fritts but I get the feeling they could careless. At least the GM and service writer and service manager....I will never go back there again and encourage everyone I know to stay clear of fritts. read more

It was a bad day when I backed our newly purchased Ford Explorer into the side of our garage and proceeded to break the passenger side mirror BUT it turned into a great day when I arrived at Fritt's Ford and saw Terry Jones (in the service department). She took my Explorer to a service mechanic who confirmed I only needed to buy a few parts - and not the whole side mirror $$$$$). Terry ordered the parts on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon, yes folks...the next day, Terry called to tell me the mirror parts arrived and to come in whenever it was convenient. I drove into Fritt's Ford the following day and within 45 minutes my mirror looked brand new and I was on my way. I highly recommend the service department, especially Terry Jones. STAY AWAY! They pulled the bait and switch on me and on top of it the car turned out to be a lemon. I bought a NEW 2012 Ford Fiesta and after they had it for 90 days, I tried to get them to buy the car back because I believed it was a lemon. They told me I would have to call the BBB. I did not instead I got an attorney and at that point they said that they would not touch the car any further. Keep in mind the car was still under manufacture warranty and I also had paid the extra to get an extended warranty. I spoke with about 7 different people at this dealership and not one of them would help me. I am still in the process of suing them. I also contacted Ford Corporate and they were no help either. In the mean time, I am stuck with the car, the payment and the insurance. STAY AWAY AND I WOULD SUGGEST STAYING AWAY FROM FORD ALL TOGETHER AT THIS POINT. read more
