There are about a hundred stalls selling fresh seasonal produce, meats, fish, cheeses and other eatable items. There are also a few shops for a meal when at the market. It seems to be a common activity for the locals who come and do some shopping and hang out at the many cafes and eating places at the market and spend a morning / afternoon there. It is apparently one of the biggest markets in Hessen. The shops were good, quality and selection was good and the prices very reasonable. I would come here every week if I lived in the area.
