My older son has received treatment there for the last two years. My younger son went in today to have an upper treatment started. He is 9 and will need a lot of work done over time. We agreed on this treatment plan pictured here in October. Today I was told that if I needed to also agree to start lower expander treatment, which would add thousands to the bill. I explained to the doctor that I was a single mom of three children and I needed to take the treatment one step at a time. We had agreed on this plan and I was prepared to pay for this and get the upper treatment today. Dr. Selnick said that she was "not comfortable taking me on as a client" because essentially she needs her clients to be able to jump when she says to jump. That if I didn't "trust her" enough to have a good relationship and allow her to begin all of the treatments at once that she couldn't treat my son. She said she would consider it if I signed a paper saying they thought it would be best to do both upper and lower treatments and I said I would sign it. Then she said "it doesn't matter, I don't think you are the right fit for me." So to be clear, the right fit for Dr. Selnick is someone with money, who doesn't ask questions, who doesn't expect the agreed-upon treatment or payment plan to be accepted. Be ready to be asked (or demanded) to pay exponentially more and asked to leave if you push back. I'm mortified.

Please save your self. 18 months treatment can become 2-3 years treatment as they can't work with you with appointments and in the end it's your fault that you don't make your kid miss school every 6 weeks for 5-10 minutes appointment. Go some where , where doctors care more about patients and less about money. They decreased their working hours in the middle of treatment and now forcing everyone to accommodate to their short working hours. These things should have been explained at the start of the treatment. Now we are stuck as we can't go to someone else for braces. It's as trap .. .

I warned her at the start of this orthodontic process (that I had already been on for 3.5 years when I met her) that I have had multiple doctors and that am a terrible patient and that I am very fatigued after 3.5 years of failed Invisalign. She was consistently very kind and had extreme patience with me during the entire process. Her staff is also kind, friendly and professional. I have had a long road over the last 5 years of orthodontic care including: Invisalign for 3 1/2 years, a frenulectomy, myofunctional therapy and finally braces for 18 months to correct damage done by years of nighttime grinding and poor choices by previous doctors. Dr Shlash has been my favorite Doctor that I have worked with along this journey. She has an incredible memory and does a really nice job of relating with her patients and remembering things I said from previous visits. Two other orthodontists recommended removing my daughter's permanent teeth because she had one front tooth just sticking out. (Ironically, she is the one child who did not get braces.
