Ok so I'm not one of those people who likes going to the dentist. I've tried a bunch of places over…read morethe years and it was always "fine" but I'd leave feeling unsure, or like I got rushed, or just not totally confident in what was done. King's Smile Dental with Dr. Fikhman is the first place where I actually felt like... alright, I'm good here. The first thing you notice is the office is just easy to deal with. Whoever's at the front desk is on it -- not robotic, not annoying, just friendly and helpful. Making the appointment was simple, and when I had to change it (more than once, because my schedule is a mess), they didn't give me attitude or make it complicated. They worked with me and got me in, which I really appreciated. Now the important part: Dr. Fikhman. He has that calm, confident vibe that makes you relax a little, and he actually explains what's happening instead of just doing stuff and disappearing. He checks in, makes sure you're comfortable, answers questions, and you can tell he cares about the work being right, not just "done." Also the place feels modern without being all flashy about it. The equipment/tech seems up to date and the whole process felt organized, like they're not winging it. And after everything I had done, the results honestly came out great. If you've had meh dentist experiences and you want someone you can stick with long-term, I'd recommend Dr. Fikhman. This is the first time I've left a dental office and actually felt relieved instead of stressed.

Dr. Ira Steinmetz is a Rare Gem in Doctors. My husband and…read moreI shuffled through doctors in Brooklyn to find him. Dr. Steinmetz is just a caring, understanding, well-mannered, humble, and gracious person. I have to say person, because he has to be such a person first to be a doctor with those qualities. Not to be ignored is his staff. His staff is just as courteous and understanding. I read reviews putting them down - but I beg to say, the person writing such a review, doesn't quite have an understanding of what to expect from an office staff in such a delicate yet fast-moving environment, attending to phones, patients, and any requests of the doctor... May Jehovah God bless Dr. Steinmetz and his staff, giving all of them good health and long life so they may take care of us who need them.

Just went in for an annual check-up...sounds simple enough…read more.. Was told i would receive a message from doctor concerning the blood results the following week. Waited patiently and no response. Called 10 days later and was told by receptionist my blood tests came out "Normal". I asked if it were possible to speak to doctor regarding any details about the blood tests. Was told that i would have to make another appointment to speak to the doctor since my tests were Normal. Then i asked if i could have a copy of my blood test results sent to me. Once again,..they are unable to - "you have to come in person to pick up the results", i was told. Trekked all the way to the doctor's office (a subway ride for me) to pick up my tests results and then looked at the blood tests in detail when i got back home. Apparently my 'Triglyceride' levels (level of fat in the blood) is 2x the normal range...and i have trace of Ketones in my urine. Ketones means that i'm burning fat rather than glucose to produce energy. Thanks a lot doc...don't you think this was information i should have known or at least been able to discuss?! It's sad when WebMd and Wikipedia has to fill in the blanks... The level of care was not what i expected from a doctor. I dedicate my 400th review to an excellent doctor that takes very good care of all his patients …read more For someone as young as myself I am totally petrified of tests and trying tons of medications , but my mother assured me that Dr Jacobs is gentle and I'd be good in good hands . I'll admit the appointments for first consultations are not very flexible but he needs time to sit with the patients to really review the medical history and to weigh all options . However my wait time was not very long , there wasn't much paperwork to fill out , the receptionist and front desk was very nice , they gave me notes for my employer and gave me anything I asked for . They speak English Russian and hebrew , and most insurance plans are accepted. When I sat with the doctor he was friendly courteous , has a good sense of humor and he was very understanding of my needs , went through my diet my lifestyle and my medical history . I love how he didn't force me to do anything outside my comfort zone , I didn't have to do sonogram right then and there , I didn't have to bloodwork right away either and I love how he did everything in his power to find a solution to my problem without having to do a cystoscopy , he has a more holistic approach . He gave me lots samples of new medications on the market for overactive bladder and he sent the prescription he ordered to my pharmacy right away . He educated me a lot on my problem and I feel so relieved . I can tell he cares a lot about his patients and his practice , he definitely looks forward to seeing his patients again to monitor their health , he does not rush you through anything at all but he knows how to get down to the point , he literally solved my problem in less then 20 mins . Thank you Dr Jacobs !

Tried the office again the following day and when I walked in the male receptionist told me did I think I was entitled walking in and since I haven't been there in 2 years what did I expect. Needless to say I walked out after being insulted and reprimanded and found another doctor and I was diagnosed with bronchitis. Dr Buono is a wonderful doctor but it's impossible to get past his rude male receptionist. Needless to say, due to the incredibly insolence of the male receptionist there are 3 less patients for that office. He needs to have a course in patient etiquette and proper and polite discourse.
