Why? I don't know because he took months to even set up the signing even though another family member had the financing to buy the house (his procrastination almost caused the loss of the financing). Thomas Sauter wanted the maximum fee allowed by the state, even when it meant the heir wouldn't get much. I disagreed, as the executor, he stopped working on the case, yet still demanding full fee. I asked for fiduciary fees, which cut the heir out all together and Thomas Sauter was ok with that. I had no intention on keeping the money. I did it to cut his fees down. I paid him $6000 out of the $6800 the court set, put on the check that it was paid in full if he cashed it, he cashed it quickly, then told the court he wasn't paid, thereby causing the court to deny the case closed even though I finished it, including giving them proof of the check he cashed, front and back signed. Lawyers are allowed to be sleazy and the expense of others.

He didn't care that an 80 year old widow heir wouldn't get anything as long as he got the fee allowed by the law. Never-ending that he didn't even finish the case.
