FRIDA Book Café in Enschede gave us one of those memorable lunches you keep talking about. Midway through our visit the team announced that the owners' Dutch father had just finished a pot of homemade tomato soup. We ordered a bowl and he walked it over himself. It was so delicious we ordered another bowl! Best tomato soup I have had!
The space fits the book café perfectly. Light filled room, shelves of English titles, specialty coffee, and a calm creative vibe that makes you want to linger. FRIDA is an international nonprofit book café tucked on Stadsgravenstraat in the city center, and it shows in the mix of books, community events, and warm hospitality.
Service matched the setting. Friendly faces, genuine care, and that extra touch of pride that came through when the soup arrived from the kitchen. Ten out of ten, and the tomato soup alone could turn a quick visit into a tradition. read more
