The owner, TJ was responsive and got his partner Tom over to access the situation despite the short notice and rainy weather. We agreed on price and they came the next day. However, the hill had been planted the week before trying to stabilize the incline. I notified the team of the plantings. When done, they said they were careful and didn't damage anything. My gardener accessed the area the next day, and they had damaged three of the recent dogwood plantings. Only one could be saved. When I notified Tom at the company he said there was nothing he would do to make it right. Not even an apology. Overall, they were responsive given the urgency of the situation, and I am pleased with the team of men that cut the tree out. They worked together well, they were friendly and knowledgeable to get the job done. I guess a couple of plants are spoils of war.

They were great at helping us come up with a plan for the area that would make the area more livable for us and handle water well. Plant selection was another area where they provided great advice. When it came time to put the plan into action, they worked with us on things we wanted to do ourselves to save money (demolition work), have them do, or have them subcontract to others (like pouring the new patio). I would use them again and recommend them to others.

At the end, we agreed they would do a design for a patio on one side of my property. I waited several weeks but never heard back from them. When I contacted them, they informed me they were not interested in working with me. Apparently they were not going to contact me of their own volition and I felt very stupid having waited several weeks for a design and informing family members of my "great" meeting. I do have a place on a larger chunk of land, so I think perhaps the scope of the project was too large for an urban landscaping company. However, I think it would have been much nicer to have told me this and not have me foolishly under the impression that they would do work for me when they had no intentions whatsoever. The whole situation was unpleasant and bizarre.
