A 24 hour donut shop located in Granada hills (on the corner of balboa and safernando - in the far side of Von's plaza). When I don't want to drive to farther places, this is the donut shop I go to. I love how I can get a midnight donut cause this place is always open! For your average donut shop, They have a nice assortment of donuts and cronuts ! My favorite things here are The donut holes! Donut holes are always good. There's only 10 for $1 but I'm not complaining. I also like Chocolate glazed donut! This is my go to donut and I also like their Thai tea - it's pretty decent for a donut shop. There's plenty of parking in the plaza, but because the bank is next to the shop, the nearby parking does get full in the day. Nothing like fresh donuts been going here forever. This donut shop is 24 hours, yes they are open on Christmas, New Years, you name the holiday they are open 365 days a year 24 hours. They have many different classic donuts all of them are good my go to donut is the chocolate chip it's like a chocolate twist with chocolate chips on it, it is called "bow tie" they have many other donuts you can't go wrong with anything. Update 8 years later. These are the best donuts in the valley! Always fresh donuts, nice family behind the counter, and never a long wait, even with social distancing. My apple fritter donut had one piece of apple in it. For reals???? I tried to give them a chance a few time but I'm done. The cinnamon cake/crumb donuts are sprayed with cinnamon-sugar and glaze, glaze flakes off easily, the maple and the chocolate flakes off the donuts all the time. Many donuts are old and very greasy. I'm a super foodie and got a sweet tooth like no ones business and I can tell these donuts are not made to perfection but rather pumped out for a quick and cheap. I've lived in LA and gone to California Donuts since '08, Sidecar Donuts since '18, Randy's Donuts since '04 and my all time favorite spot SK Donuts since '08 and I know what a good donut is suppose to look and taste like. I really am sorry I have to give this place such low review but they didn't impress me, forget impress, they didn't meet the minimum. I am not local to this area, I looked on Yelp to find a donut shop that offers boba. I came across this place and decided to give it a try. I walked in ungreeted, a customer who came in after me was greeted and helped, he pointed at me and said, "she was here first". That's still ok, I asked for a chocolate bar and a Thai tea boba. The older lady was the one helping me, she said, "we can't blend ok?" I said that's fine, I like it on ice. She scooped something in a coffee mug and put it in the microwave then mixed ice in it then poured it on the half n half in the clear cup, then added the tea. I am a long time boba lover and have never seen a strange preparation process like I saw here. I really was craving it and looking forward to enjoying it. She put a weird lid with a large opening on it, see picture. I paid my $5, walked out to my car to enjoy and was very disappointed about the plastic/mildewy taste. Someone once told me, if you're in LA and want donuts, find a strip mall, look for a shop with a simple name and faded letters on the window and you won't be disappointed. Boy was she right. Fresh Donuts hit it out of the park. The fanciest they get is their version of a kronut(which was fantastic) and I'm thankful there weren't too many crazy options. We stuck with the classics and they didn't disappoint. The cherry on top was the kindness of the staff. I'm a fan of glazed donuts and had a sudden donut craving at 10PM, so off I went, toddler in hand, to get glazed donuts. Since I had the kiddo with me, he insisted on picking out 6 of the dozen I ordered. Of course, he went for the most colorful, all the sprinkles, cake donuts. I was a bit disappointed since I'm not a fan. However, I ventured to take a bite of these colorful confections and could not get over how good they were. My recollection of cake donuts has always been dry and stale (not theirs, speaking generally), so I stick to glazed. But no, these were moist and soft and not overly sweet. Suffice to say, I actually ate of 3/6 donuts the kid picked out and blamed it on his dad. Also, we didn't kill a whole dozen donuts at 10PM, so we had plenty more for the following day. And, surprisingly, the donuts were not stale -- even the cake donut! Usually, those are the ones everyone leaves behind because they start to get hard with each passing hour, but not these! Each cake donut was just as good as that first bite the night before! I seriously think this place has officially converted me to cake donuts! Customer service was great. The lady who helped us was patient as my kid hemmed and hawed at the variety, which was impressive at 10PM. They have covid precautions in place and other customers were sure to maintain the 5-person maximum posted on the door, so it didn't feel overwhelming to be out in the midst of a pandemic.
