I was looking for a 24 hr donut shop for a late night craving. And I saw fresh donuts was in the area and had good reviews. I decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint it actually over exceeded my expectations. All the racks were filled with fresh variety donuts. We got about half a dozen donuts and one cronut. The cronut we learned has been 6 months in the making so we were excited to try it and wow the first bite was amazing you can tell they perfected the cronut. This is my first and definitely not the last check in here. It's a small cozy shop with huge selection of donuts. They have 4 little tables, each with 4 chairs if you want to sit down and enjoy a donut or two, with wide selection of beverages. I got one of my fav Thai iced tea - tasty. I am really glad that they are open 24/7 and make fresh donuts - almost non stop. I walk in anticipating well, regular donut shop with whatever left at this hour. To my pleasant surprise, they got my favorite old fashioned glazed donut, full of glaze and freshly made. Chocolate cream filled, chocolates glazed, strawberry glazed, sprinkles, maple - my goodness the list goes on and on. Dropped by this place around 3pm on today (Thurs) to get some donuts after seeing all the positive reviews. I wanted unglazed buttermilk donut but they only had one left. That's okay, I decided to get the Special B mixed dozen for $15.95. I think the prices went up from what people posted on here. Special A is $14.95. The donuts tasted old, dried, and stale, especially the old fashion and buttermilk ones. I was so disappointed that they weren't crispy but stale. They were so dry I had a hard time eating them. I've been going to this place for years, and there's a new owner, he says his name is Max. To make a long story short I went there the other morning at about 3:30 AM and I paid for four donuts, when I when got home, I noticed I was short two donuts. No big deal but this Max very dishonest, I had to repeat my story about eight times so, I just got frustrated when I went there today and I walked out, if you don't wanna deal with dishonesty, I would highly suggest that you don't go to this place, also, I've seen bugs crawling over the donuts this afternoon! I've had this place bookmarked for awhile because of the Cronuts they sell, so I stopped by after getting my passport photos taken at the neighboring business. I tried a cake doughnuts with peanuts, an apple fritter, classic glazed (plain and chocolate), doughnut holes, and a Cronut. The apple fritter is by far my favorite. I didn't see much apple filling, but the fluffy middle and crusty glazed exterior was what won me over. The classic glazed, cake doughnuts, and doughnut bites were good. As for their take on the Cronut, it's a neat attempt but not the same. The texture is dense and reminiscent of a normal doughnut, while the exterior has ridges as if it is flaky when it's not. All of the flavor is on the outside; there's no filling. Nonetheless, it's decent. Fresh Donuts is a solid local doughnut shop in Granada Hills. I went in on a Saturday morning around 7am and to my surprise there was a line which to me is a really good sign. They had a ton of options and everything looked fresh and smelled delicious. I got a glazed, doughnut holes, a kronut and thai tea. They have 2 sizes and I chose the small which is actually pretty big so that made me happy. I didn't have cash on me so when I saw they take credit cards I was relieved, however they do charge 50 cents for any transaction below 15 dollars. My total therefore came out to $8.20 Now on to taste...everything was delicious, holes were soft and fluffy, you can tell that it's fresh. The kronut is hard on the outside but pretty good in flavor. The only complaint I have is about the thai tea, it was a little too sweet for me but again everyone is different. Overall very satisfied with this place and they are open 24/7 so your doughnut cravings can be fulfilled at all hours :) read more

There aren't many 24/7 donut places around anymore and this nice family run business is still going. Donut selection will vary depending on when you get there. Donut snob here. I've been to all the LAIST listings of great donuts, I've tried random mom and pops, I've had big chain. This place, hands down, is the most consistently fresh, anytime I've gone. I have gone near midnight, I've gone at 10am. I've never gotten one that I was bummed about. A wide variety of donuts. The staff are friendly even the customers are friendly. I dropped my wallet and didn't realize until a few minutes later when I was in my car. Went at 9:30pm on Wednesday. They had a limited selection of donuts. No apple fritters or blueberry donuts. The girl working there was fairly occupied chatting and laughing with all of her friends. It's a good thing there weren't any other customers there to bother them. Her friends were eating donuts, yelling loud, talking trash, and probably intoxicated. In the end, decided to go with a cronut and jelly filled donut. The cronut was very dense and heavy, not like the usual fluffy cronuts I buy at other donut shops. The jelly donut was average, nothing memorable. I will pass on this donut shop in the future. The donuts didn't taste great, an odd environment, and the selection is weak.
