This is a pretty awesome and huge venue! I've been to a few events here over the years, and it's always been a memorable time. In fact, one of the earlier Yelp Elite events took place here, and it was so much fun! The large space makes it flexible and allows different organizations to use every part of the venue. I recently was here for the Seattle Works SWANK Gala and it was amazing! Lots of room for the silent auction and the main room for the dinner and live auction was fantastic. They even had a Twitter wall which was super cool. read more

We came here for the Seattle Scotch and Beer Festival. The layout of the space is alright, though it's super dark inside so you forget what time of day it is. There's three separate rooms, and I think they made good use of the space for the festival. Bathrooms were fine and adequate for a venue of this size. read more

I've been to so many events at Fremont Studios over the years and only just realized I've never shared a review about them. Here's the deal. They're the cream of the crop when it comes to events in Seattle. They do big-budget, high quality, over the top, awesome events. They do smaller events too but this is your go-to space if you want a customized party for over 1000 people. There's a stage, there's state of the art lighting, white walls with projectors to project movies, images, etc. They even have different sets and packages so you can do soft seating, tables, classrooms, or whatever you could dream up. I've come for large scale cocktail parties, I've come for networking events, and I've come for themed holiday bashes and dance parties. They can truly do it all. The staff appears to be well organized and there's always, always staff easy to find for load-in or questions of any kind. Whenever I see an event promoted and spot that it's being hosted at Fremont Studios, I know it's going to be good. read more

They fit a BMW in here and I didn't even know it-well ok, I should have spit out the wine during the tastings event but there is something inside of me (cheap? asian? college student?) who can't bring me to do it..making me all cross-eyed.. It's all industrial and huge on the outside, and same on the inside! Last Sat, the 20something Wine Tasting event here was the hippest place to be. Tom Douglas showed up, there was a lot of vino being served, and I snuck in back to use the restrooms bc apparently no one else knew where they were either. The Bads: the line was long for the willcall tickets but it moved fast since I'm sure the event hosts wanted all of us 20something (and olders) to get in and start drinking! What an awesome event venue this is! I went here for Hop Scotch. It wasn't the biggest beer fest I've ever been to but it was certainly the swankiest thanks to Fremont Studios. The HUGE main room had all the beer and wine vendors. Lot's of sexy lighting and projections on the walls. Up on the stage there was scotch and tequila tastings. On either end of the main room were two smaller ones. They had a lounge set up on one side and food service on the other. Both were a good spot to get away from the crowds. Fun times! read more

This is THE place for events in Fremont, everything is held here from Beer and Scotch to the Erotic Art Festival. Quality varies greatly by event. Nonetheless, Brouwer's Cafe is kitty corner from this. So, no matter how bad it is, you can always get a few drinks and make it better. read more

Large venue, perfect for hosting holiday parties. Lots of open space, and if the place is decorated and organized right, it will be a great event, granted. Large wide screen to play videos or pop up a sign. A stage to the left. Lighting was perfect as well (for the Yelp event) There is a smaller room to the right, and is the way to the restrooms. Clean, but the stall I went into had a broken seat... Overall, thumbs up! read more

I like it! A lot of space to spread out for whatever kind of event you're thinking of having in here. The layout is great and the place just feels very comfortable to hang out in. It also has very good airflow, because it doesn't get stiflingly hot even with a whole bunch of people set up and milling around inside. Just don't do like I did and forget to bring a couple dollars to pay for parking with - the streets fill up quickly and leave only the pay-to-park lots available. read more

A huge, open, and surreal space, Fremont Studios boggles the mind a bit. I went here for an Oscar party the other week, and was impressed with the coolness of the space when it's not crowded. With several large rooms, ample well-maintained bathrooms, and dramatic lighting, this place is great for everything from concerts to larger get-togethers. We were stationed in the store room, where we sat eating appetizers surrounded by dramatically lit props and even a glowing blue moon overhead. You feel like you're a character walking on stage in this place, particularly in the prop room. Highly recommend, particularly in a smaller setting! read more

Went here for Seattle Swank. This place is great. Very large yet, simple and clean space. Seattle Swank had a TON of people put comfortably in their main stage area for dinner and the auction. They had ample projection devices as almost every wall was covered in some kind of animated imagery. The best was the live Twitter (and I don't even have a Twitter) feed on the back wall that was being used by attendees for the general entertainment of everyone present. Auxiliary rooms provided convenient entry/lobby, mingle area. The sound and lighting was awesome too, though I don't know if that was event staff or resources organic to the facility. Dinner was amazing which either means the kitchen facilities on site are more than sufficient or the take out catering was superb. I'm going with the former. The last time I was here was for Red Dress 10'. If you are drunk and dancing, stay away from the edges of the room as they curve up to the walls and I fell a lot (though that was probably more from the being drunk, and less from the post-modern architecture.) Parking can be difficult, but taking a taxi (which you probably should be doing anyway) alleviates this issue. All around, great place to host an event! read more

This was a GREAT venue. We came here for a filming of The 206 and were amazed at how much fun we had. The venue starts with a long hall (good place for cues or lines). Afterwards, it empties out into a general room. Everything is lined in black curtains & kinda sparse but there were some couches, tables & chairs. There was a merch table set up, a beer & cider bar, some food & bathrooms. That room leads into the filming room which is much larger. For The 206 it was set up with some chairs, camera crew, etc. The venue was fantastic - felt large & open but also intimate. The staff was very friendly. read more

And then lets say you wanted this part to be in place that has thought of everything from the right floor color, a disco ball the size of a smart car, and every piece of theater rigging you could imagine, a knowledgeable crew, you'd have the Fremont Studios. I was here for the 20Something wine event but I feel my review should be more for this establishment than that event. With that said... This building is awesome! It has a cool lay out and nice stage. The lighting and sound system is top notch as well. The bathrooms were pretty clean throughout the event (at least the few times I saw them). The staff is pretty useful when you need them which was fairly often due to dropped wine glasses by patrons. The parking situation is a little on the craptastic side since it's mostly street parking or a small paid parking lot across the street. I'm not sure where all those people parked but judging by their shoes they weren't planning on a hike. This is probably an expensive spot to host an event but if your business is looking to throw an amazing event this is probably the joint to use. I'd definitely come here again for an event or party just based on this event. read more

DList Magazine New Years 2012 was held at Fremont Studios and was an absolute train wreck! It must have been planned by someone that has never organized events before... ever! Even though we purchased our $60 tickets online days before we never were able to get them from will call until just before midnight (after waiting in line for more than two hours in the rain)! While we were in line a guy, who appeared to be part of the event staff, would come along and pick out select girls (usually very hot ladies) and tell them to 'Go ahead to the front!' That is part of the reason the line was not really moving. We weren't the only ones in line all night, there was an entire crowd of others along for the ride unfortunately. DList Magazine put on a badly organized event and were disrespectful to everyone who paid beforehand in good faith. They already had our money, they have nothing to lose. DList Magazine should provide refunds to anyone that asks. Avoid any events by them and held at Fremont Studios. I sincerely hope they address this issue. read more

A JOKE! Attended the DList New Years Eve Party this year - or as much as was allowed as the management and organization of this event was completely non-existent! They were not prepared nor knowledgably on how to handle to crowd for the event. However, because the tickets were pre-paid several days in advance, the event did not care whether or not we could actually get the ticket to attend. After pre-purchasing and paying for my ticket in-full several days prior to the event and receiving confirmation of the complete payment charged on my credit card, I assumed I would be allowed to enter the venue and enjoy the event. This did not happen. Arrived approximately 10:00pm (one hour after the official 'start' time of the event) to find a line of maybe 100 people in line at will call to pick up the tickets and go inside. Over and hour and a half later we were still in line. Come to find out, people who were just arriving were allowed to cut up to the will call window immediately and the rest of us in this line were to stand and wait. An associate representing the event came outside and hand selected people from our line to enter the event as he wished while the majority of us still stood in this line. There was complete and utter chaos at this will call window and in the hoards of people attempting to retrieve pre-paid tickets. After the enter crowd complained to the representative who came outside, the will call window began just handing out tickets to ANYONE not even checking to see if people bought tickets OR were even of-age to enter the venue as liquor was served. Again, no-where was there one ID-check once they began handing tickets out freely to anyone who could actually make it up to the will call window. Nearly two hours passed from the time we got into this unorganized mess to the time we were just handed random tickets through the will call window. Will they learn ANYTHING from this event? Let's hope they look at the procedures that were non-existent and move forward with better standard operating procedures at future events. read more

This is, in my opinion, one of the best places to have an event in Seattle. The ambiance and layout is AMAZING! I have been here for several events from a Green Carpet event to non-profit awareness events. I enjoy it everytime. There is a small private theatre if you're wanting to screen a film to people while they are there. Awesome! read more

Been here for two bonza bash events and it's always been great. The staff are always amazing and the bartenders are nice. The space itself is very very big. Had multiple rooms and a nice layout. The bathroom situation is a little weird though. The women's and men's bathroom are next to each other and the men's room door is open and you can see the urinals. Ummm... Ok? read more

Spent Sat. evening at a charity event for Argos and was thoroughly impressed by the facility. Wall to wall screening capability brought the pictures to life and the number of other video screens made the presenters face to face with everyone in the entire room. The place is pretty large and has loads of different rooms for the different ambiances needed. A true EVENT place. read more

I totally agree that that was a joke of an event - facility and management wise at least! I also attended the DList Magazine New Years Eve Party this year. After waiting in line for close to 2 hours and getting into the "party" only minutes before midnight , I could only stand about an hour of this clustf..k as the management and organizers of this event was completely non-existent and ill prepared for the 2000 expected guests! The owner and staff of Fremont Studios are fabulous to work with when putting on an event. Their can-do attitude coupled with common sense were a blessing when scheduling, planning and executing our event. I highly recommend this incredible, state of the art, space with fully integrated audio-visual technology. The projection possibilities for the cyclorama walls are "to die for" when creating your party's environment. read more

DList 2010. Omg! Besides it being hell outside, inside- I had an amazing time!!! This was my first time there and the place is pretty ginormous. I just wish I hadn't drank so much so I could have enjoyed the Ryan Leslie performance. I love him! The VIP area was ok, but why the hell was it hidden in the back. None of my other friends that were paying attention knew that there was a concert going on in the main dance floor. It was also wack because our waitress never came to our table to take our order. She didn't bring out our bottle of champagne until after midnight. We were supposed to have hourdeurves. I didn't see any. We paid extra for VIP and a booth and bottle of Moet White Star for a bunch of wackness. That's like a $30 bottle and our tix were like $100 each. 6 people, 1 bottle. WTF! We had to find out who our waitress was and hunt her down just to get our credit card back to leave. We didn't tip her cos she didn't do sh!t. UGH! But from what I can remember, I had a great time. I just wish they had organized it better. I'm glad I had tickets and not will call. The line outside was ridonkulous! I can't wait to come back for a more organized event, probably Halloween! read more

What a cool venue! Who knew you didn't have to throw your next big party in some dated hotel ballroom downtown. We were here for the 20something wine event and I really enjoyed the unique atmosphere the space gave the event. The staff was all friendly and the venue itself was clean and well maintained. My only gripe would be that at one point the staff "commandeered" the men's room and turned it into a second ladies room because their line was so long. This resulted in a line for the men's room and everyone starting to get confused because there was nowhere to go. Not sure if that was even legal from a facilities operations standpoint, but eventually we found our way to another restroom in the "backstage" area so that worked out. The video wall was a neat feature, and overall the space seems like a cool place for a fresh, new event. read more
