The "Citz", as it's been called, is allegedly a private club that the fire company runs. As such,…read morethey can stay open and serve alcohol until 3am. I say it's "allegedly" a private club because their policies for ensuring that non-members stay out has grown increasingly lax over the last few years. When I first hit the Tamaqua drinking scene, you had to show up with a member and pay a few dollars for a membership card. Then, every time you came back, you showed them your ID and they pages through their records until they found your name and you were allowed to go in and drink. I went away to school and When I moved back, I went up the The Citz by myself and asked if I could get a membership. They asked me if I knew any members, and I couldn't think of any off the top of my head that I was 100% sure had the annual membership. The next question the doorman proceeded to ask was, "well, do you see anyone in there right now that you know?" I moved away and recently moved back to Tamaqua. Now, when I go to The Citz at 2am, there's a sign on the door that states "be prepared to show ID and Membership card at all times". I give The Citz one star because the drinks are cheap. This is never a place you want to find yourself in, though. Of the dozenish bars that close in Tamaqua, about 50 people will end up at The Citz on a given weekend. Half of them are firemen. The other half are more colorful characters. You really have to question your direction in life after you walk in there at 2am on a Saturday night. Note: This review refers to the social club, not the functions of the fire company as it relates to dousing burning buildings, saving kittens, or blasting water into a drainage ditch at the Tamaqua Elementary School

So u don't like the citz then don't go!!:but I bet when they show up to save your house, or at 2am when you smash your vehicle in 0degree weather you'll very much love those guys with their updated equipment! ! State Trooper Fox arrived and kindly waited with me for the tow truck to arrive (Falzones Towing Service). Trooper Fox was extremely kind and courteous to me. So, when I needed the services of the agency, I was told I should move, A THREAT. I called and talked to a supervisor and told her about the comment from her employee and that I felt the statement was a threat. She said it was not. The woman who told me to move is being protected by an agency, and her supervisor. I HAVE AND AM GOING TO CALL THE STATE AGENCY AGAIN. THE GOOD OLD BOYS ARE ALIVE AND WELL AT THE AGENCY AND HERE.

Service was not up to par, there were two ladies sitting at desk behind the counter and they didn't…read moresay a word to me for 5 minutes, like I was going to leave. They sure were not in the mood to do there jobs. I had to mail out a certified letter. When asking the one lady questions, she was short and I felt like I was bothering her from her doing something else more important. Didn't have a good feeling when I left.

They'll leave you the keys in your PO box if possible. You can access the PO boxes until the doors lock around 7PM. This is helpful for those that work and have a life. There are a few workers now, and only 2 of them are friendly. There were 2 workers and both were friendly when I first joined this place. Oh well, change is part of life.
