We bought their solar systems in 2025. Recently, we had a power outage for 11 hours during the day, with the sun shinning. No electricity from our solar system. we call the number that was given on their sight (same as on our contract) we put on hold for 2-1/2 hours before connecting with a person. Then another 1-1/2 hour trying to figure what was wrong. We asked for a technician to come out to check our system. Were told she would connect with a tehnician, which never happened. Tranferred to another person and was told he would call back in half an hour, which no one ever called back. Bad customer service. read more

Paul was a great communicator and very transparent about options; Mod Mob was on time every day and very professional with their clean up and explanation of the inspection process. We finally got to solar; the finance plan was easy to understand and we will be net-profitable in 3-5 years, not the 15-20 previous vendors had scoped out. A person: Michael Patrick Morris who this company employed back in May 2024 submitted a contract on my behalf and committed identity theft on ME for $22073 back on May 7, 2024. This "installer"/ sales person came and took ALL my personal data and IS washing his hands saying it's not HIM, he does not work for FREEDOM FOREVER anymore and that they actually owe him money. I am publicly putting this name here: Michael Patrick Morris in case anyone else has had this same problem in the past in case you want to join the legal action against HIM I am about to start because FREEDOM FOREVER has proof that HE HIMSELF submitted the contract ON MY BEHALF, that it wasn't them. SOLAR MOSAIC LLC a company of California did proceed with a loan for me for $22073 hat I never requested. There is "project" rolling but I was never called to confirm installation, etc. Yet, there is a credit for $22073 that I never requested and they already EFF UP my credit score. Now I have to spend days cleaning up this mess. Mosaic says I have to come through this company - FREEDOM FOREVER - to cancel something that I never requested. They created an account # 422835 IN MY NAME for $22073 and now I have to take 2 or 3 days of my time to clean up with the credit bureaus and reverse this while I was in the process of refinancing my home to pay credit card debt. I will revise this review to a 3 star once they help me clear with Mosaic because they are still liable in creating a project I never received that would have alerted me to stop this before it was sent to Mosaic. After I made the initial deposit of $1000, Greg, project liaison, cut off all communication. No apparent work was done on the project for over a month. No clear communication was provided for 40 days and when I called customer service for updates I was told that they wanted more money before starting work. The whole thing feels like a SCAM. When I requested a cancellation they wouldn't return my initial deposit. I'm out $1000 for nothing. Plenty of honest installers out there. Avoid this one! read more

DO NOT EVER PURCHASE FROM FREEDOM FOREVER. This company is absolute TRASH. Do not waste your money buying from them. They make you believe they stand by their product with a warranty but they have an absolute scam of a warranty. We were never informed that there is a 90-day warranty transfer policy once you purchase a home with their solar panels on them, and when we went to transfer the panels into our name so we could gain access to their monitoring app and the warranty, we were told we were too late since we had past this 90-day period. So now we no longer have their "25 year warranty guarantee" nor do we have access to the monitoring app for the panels. MAKE THAT MAKE SENSE. We purchased this home WHICH INCLUDED the cost of having solar panels on it, and now not only can we not monitor them if something were to happen to them, but we have ZERO warranty. Not only will I be seeking legal counsel over this, I will let every single person know about what a scam of a company this is. I live in a very sunny state with LOADS of homes with solar and loads of people I know who want to add solar to their homes and I can GUARANTEE you that freedom forever will never be recommended by me or anyone else I know. Avoid Freedom Forever - Terrible Customer Service and Warranty Practices I cannot express how frustrated I am with Freedom Forever. After purchasing my home, I found out that the solar system installed by the previous homeowner came with a warranty. However, when I contacted Freedom Forever to transfer the warranty into my name, I was met with stonewalling and runaround. Their customer service is absolutely horrendous. After multiple phone calls and emails, I was told the warranty couldn't be transferred because of some arbitrary, convoluted rule they claimed was in place. No matter how many times I explained that the system was in my name now, and that I had every right to the warranty, they just kept giving me the same canned responses with no real solutions. It's clear that once they've installed your system, they couldn't care less about customer satisfaction or standing behind their product. Their warranty transfer process is a joke, and the fact that they're making it nearly impossible to take advantage of a warranty that should rightfully be mine is infuriating. I wish there were reviews posted when I had these crooks sold me my solar system. They did install quickly but after that, it has been a nightmare. They told me after the final inspection it would be 2 to 3 weeks and I would be up and running. It took 6 months and several 4 to 5 hundred-dollar electric bills before it got connected. I was told I would get my payments refunded, but that never happened. We got hit with a hail storm this summer and now I need my roof replaced. The roofing contractor told me that Freedom Forever has to remove the panels so he can install our new roof. I have called and sent text and email messages, and no replies. I don't know how I am going to get my new roof before winter because of these jerks. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They busted up my roofs tiles and now can't find any replacements oh and by the way snow is fast approaching and i have holes in my roof!!!!! My HOA blocked me from putting up solar panels so my project with Freedom Forever was cancelled nearly a year ago. Yet I still cannot get the company to confirm as much with Mosaic, the third party lender. Mosaic has reached out to them multiple times, I've had 3 agonizing calls with their support team, numerous emails to my project specialist have all gone unanswered, even a text to the initial sales rep unanswered too. Mosaic tells me I owe them payments starting in February for a project THAT NEVER TOOK PLACE. I did NOT receive solar panels. I'm getting close to pursuing legal action, the level of unprofessionalism at this company is starting to make me suspect actual malicious intent. All things considered, it is hard for me to recommend Freedom Forever as my initial experience of install was pretty horrendous. However, I recently had to troubleshoot something and was lucky to have Sam Blyler as my service tech. he has been over the top helpful with the inspection and evaluation of the issue, extremely communicative, and connected me with a new sales rep since my original one seemed to leave the company without me being reassigned someone new (despite me asking multiple times at the main number). it takes a long time to get problems assessed and general communication with the company can be difficult. but I am hopeful things are going to be much smoother for me now that I have Sam and Jesus (new sales rep)'s help. read more

I told them I will not pay for something that's not working! They failed inspection more then 4 times! It proved their technician is incompetent! We started this journey in 2021 and it took until now, Jan 2023 to get the system turned on. Absolutely awful.

Do not use this company. After spending over 5 months trying to get our system installed and running I approached them to find out why they charged $8K more if we financed than if we paid cash. I was told they charge the interest up front but then Mosaic charges interest on the interest. LOANSHARKING. They finally agreed to accept the cash price but they have already received the $23K we financed. I have repeatedly asked them to refund the $8K to me so I can pay down my loan or refund it to Mosaic. They are so stupid and keep telling me to contact Mosaic and discuss the finance agreement. I understand the financing, I just want them to refund the funds so they are only paid the cash amount. They just are too stupid to get it. ALSO do not finance anything through Mosaic as they are just as crooked as Freedom Forever. read more

We began the process of getting solar installed on our home in May of 2022. Our sales rep told us the process could be a bit lengthy but we would be using our solar by August or September at the latest. It is now well into December and we are still not officially able to use it. Our rep was supposed to be the "go to" person for all of the steps along the way. Let me just say, the ONLY reason any steps were completed was because I initiated them myself. We had to stay on top of them for every single step. It got particularly bad when the tech came to our home to finish installing the conduit 2 months after they put the panels on the roof. He put up one section going towards the electrical panel, he evidently needed more sections which he didn't have. He left our house and we never heard anything from them. When were they coming back to finish? Were they coming back? I was finally able to reach a manager,Kriscely Galaviz Aldama who assured me things would be taken care of. I had reached out to our city and county myself as I didn't trust that they even applied for the permit for our solar. The city told me they were coming out to inspect the following day! Finally 2 weeks later they finished the job that was again left undone. The tech left a big mess with sharp objects on the ground for my dogs to step on. I emailed Kriscely about this to no avail. Not to mention I have paid 2 bills for the Solar while simultaneously paying my electric company. I was told I would receive a refund for the 1st bill in October but have yet to see that. No one has communicated about any further refund. Our energy company did come out last Thursday... just showed up without us having any knowledge of this, and they granted permission to operate. Today is Monday. Still haven't heard from Freedom. This is a lot of money to pay for something with the worst customer service ever. I have all documents necessary to prove their negligence. After months of them telling me they will get back to me I finally figured out the problem . Freedom (takes) forever screwed up over nine different things in the install paperwork process. Now their trying go back and fix all their mistakes (at my expense) and send it back to xcel for review.... Jody told me idk if xcel just being picky... it's not called being picky it's called doing the job correct. So freedom forever tried blaming xcel energy in the beginning saying were waiting on them when in reality is was f.f. that had made 9 mistakes n xcel made them correct them first. I signed on October 2023. It was installed on March 22, 2024. Dates kept moving. On a snowy day, they tried to install the panels and then bailed. The excuses for the multiple cancelations was they were running behind. I still am not connected. There are only 6 solar companies which are certified in Colorado Springs. This company is not. I had holes in my walls for over a month. The worst part is that I have no electricity in my kitchen. No power in the outlets, garbage disposal, and dishwasher. The light in the kitchen no longer works. I run extension cords to the living room in order to use my garbage disposal or even a toaster. read more

!Buyer beware! We are going on to year four of our system. Last year, our inverter went out due to 5G without us knowing or being notified by the monitoring company or Freedom that this was happening. They knew as mybinstallers that came to check the inverter told me. Once I noticed, I immediately filed a complaint. I was told to fill out a form, etc. Now I'm told because the inverter they chose to install on my house was "faulty" they aren't at fault. They knew 5G was causing them not to work all over our area. After all the paperwork, they say they owe us nothing in monetary value or compensation that our system went down for 1YEAR, and they didn't do anything to rectify the situation that entire year. Meanwhile, we were paying electricity the entire year. I truly believe that because we paid off our loan is why they don't seem to care. We started with Freedom Forever on August 11, 2022... still unfinished. Not completed. I am paying cash. They have sent a multitude of people to work on the installation. Always promising to be back "next week". Next week turns into months. We live 200 miles southeast of Denver. They have sent several crews to our home and bring the wrong materials. So, they look at the situation and do nothing...return to Denver. They have too many contractors that do not communicate with each other. It started with the technician who came to look at the property and measure for the installation. Incorrect measuring caused our first problem. They came to install the panels and came late in the day and couldn't complete the the installation. This meant that we stored 11 or twelve panels for months. These are the people who said they would return in one week. The problems simply multiplied!!! Time after time people would show up and say they were going to do something. However, they didn't have the parts and had to return to Denver! I could go on-and-on. Trenches, availability, even lost our order. They call from the head company and want me to pay the complete bill...even said I would have to pay it to complete the project! I said I couldn't trust them and would not pay until the project was complete. And, I was guaranteed it was actually working. Needless to say, I haven't heard from anyone in the past few weeks. Oh boy do I have a story. Vivint/Freedom Forever installed my solar in May 22. I was promised solar would be running by July. It is now November 17 and still may or may not be operating. Numerous calls, texts, emails, chats with Freedom Forever same old answer each time waiting for permission to operate. I called and sent texts to Mr Alex Morrow with Vivint. No response. He is likely too busy doing high pressure sales to other suckers. When I started peeling back the onion, I was informed by Excel Energy vendors installing solar panels that new meters were backed up due to supply chain issues. read more

Just an update. We were told the system was up and running in November after waiting 5 months. When I go a $500 utility bill in Winter and that does not include gas, I contacted them to find out WTF. I was told my panels are not producing. That was 3 weeks ago and still waiting for them to come back out. They have said they will reimburse our loan payments since the system that we are paying for does not work, I told them they could pay my $500 utility bill instead. I am sure the delay in getting someone out is that I requested someone competent that knows what they are doing and I am sure that is a foreign concept to them to have employees that know what they are doing. read more

I should've followed my instinct and known better than to trust a place that goes door to door to sell a product. Lesson learned. The salesperson told a lot of lies, sat on moving the project through and even submitted it to the denver permits dept without my approval (thus they were permitting something that was not correct). I thus Canceled my contract and after two weeks, they still will not release it and inform the financing company. Awful experience that still won't go away. Shut your door when these people come by. Since I've gotten my solar system up and running I have no electric charges from Xcel. It's great not experiencing all of the rate hikes. I was pleased with the installation process and the time frame. Dustin Guyon & Greg Harrison were very thorough with explaining the process and answering the many questions I had. Dustin has followed up with me frequently to make sure I was happy with the progress & outcome. I would highly recommend these guys as well as Freedom Forever. read more

So disappointed in this company. Initial install was good, took time to get CORE electric to turn on the system but that was not Freedom's fault. The problem started after we had the panels removed to reroof our house after the May 10th hail storm. We are now going on four months without our reinstall completed. We have been promised three times now a crew would show up to do the install and every time is a no show and no notice they were going to change our reinstall work. These are things they never tell you about solar. It is great when it is working, but the solar company forgets you after the initial install. Don't trust what this company tells you, they are poor at communicating with their customers and have little follow up to problems after the sale. Yesterday I finally called customer service after we were stiffed for the third time and was told someone would call before the end of the day to resolve our installation situation.
