Well it's always good when you can go somewhere and they do their job when they say they're going to check fluids. Apparently I was riding around with no coolant. That could have ended badly. The reason is because I've been at another dealership which I thought was a five-star dealership twice within 30 days and needed to come back a third time they just couldn't get me until January 6th. I was able to call this place and drop off at the same day. So back to the fluids I'm glad that they caught it and they filled me up. I called back to the other dealership and they said that even though they tell you that they checked all the fluids they won't refill your coolant because it's too expensive. Yes these guys charged me for it but at least they told me that my coolant was low, if the other place would have at least checked it I would have told them yes refill my coolant. So thank you for saving the day. Also if anyone wants a dealership that can speak Russian this would be the place. I overheard some of the background while I was waiting in the waiting area. And then I looked around later after my cashier told me that there are plenty of people there that speak russian. I do and it was nice to have that opportunity. But some people that is their main language and they may be very happy to know that there is a place that they could go. read more

I purchased a Tesla from this place in August of 2025. From the get-go, the experience was a nightmare. After confirming the price of the car via email/phone call in advance of my hour-long drive, things started to go downhill from there. Issue 1: I noted a chunk missing out of one of the tires during the test drive. I was informed that the dealership would not sell the vehicle as-is due to these tires, but that they would install new tires, and increase the price of the vehicle by ~$800. As far as I'm concerned, that's a pretty huge bait and switch. However, since I had driven so far, I decided to deal with it. I was assured that the tires they would install would be the OEM tires. They begrudgingly agreed to deliver the vehicle to my home as part of the deal. Issue 2: When the vehicle arrived at my home, it did have new tires. However, they were the cheapest, non-OEM tires you could imagine ("Force UHPs", easily found for $300 a set online), AND one of the tires had a big bubble in the sidewall. I sent a picture of this to "Tim" / Artem, and he told me to bring the car back to address it, knowing I would need to drive an hour to have that done. I decided to deal with it on my own. Fast forward to today - due to the extremely low quality set of tires they put on the vehicle, I am replacing all 4 tires as now more than 2 of them have bubbles. Net-net: Do not recommend this dealership. Could not imagine telling a customer you won't honor the price you agreed to on the phone because the tires were damaged, and putting this on them to resolve. read more

Looking at used vehicle listed at 32,995. Spoke on phone asked about any other fees . I was told 175 DMV fees another 695 BS fee. Specifically asked if that was it and explained I didn't want to drive over and get hit with extra fees. When I got there guy was waiting Joseph I believe. We took a test ride then sat down I figured I'd haggle the 695 fee I was paying cash. This guy goes into managers office comes out with 1500 fee for not financing with them and another 2,995 fee above asking price . I looked at him told him I drove there wasted my time, he said you know how it is. I said no you BS me and wasted my time. Walked out. So they're advertising the vehicle for $13,995 which we thought was the price, but after reading the reviews we realize that that was minus the $2995 down payment on your part. Which like you said in a previous review small print, so thank you for bringing that to our attention. Also, there's a $1,500 freedom discount so we thought before we drove 2 and 1/2 hours that we would ask about that too. Well, the freedom discount doesn't necessarily mean you're getting $1,500. They knew I was using outside financing and refused to tell me that there would be multiple thousands of dollar increase in price from what was advertised online. Even after going on the site showing the salesman and the manager that clicking "cash/outside finance" does not increase the price by this amount they refused to honor any sort of deal. I bought my truck from Freedom Chevrolet in March and would caution anyone before going there. The staff was very nice and friendly but their business practices are questionable. There are a handful of issues I had with them... First off, I saw their ad online for my Ram 1500 and they advertised up to a $1,500 discount if I mentioned the word "FREEDOM" which was a big reason for going there. I mentioned this over the phone when making my appointment and again to the front desk. They said to mention it to the salesperson, which I did, then I was told it is an ad from last year and not applicable to my vehicle. I reminded them it was March, three months into the new year, and asked if they can honor something at all but didn't get any response. False advertising? It is now June and they are still advertising it! I didn't even get a dollar discount. Next up was my trade-in value of my truck, I had a 2017 Ford F-150 Limited (top of the line) and they tried offering me $1k-$2k for my truck. To be fair, I had a check engine light on so didn't expect the KBB trade in value of $14k+ for good condition. I argued my value and asked them to find out what a wholesaler would give them for my trade in. They then call some wholesalers and come back and offer me $7500 for my trade-in. That is quite the difference in value. I still believe I could've gotten a bit more for my truck, but there is benefit to trading a vehicle in. This certainly didn't sit well with me and gave a bad taste in my mouth. Third was the inaccurate vehicle advertising I realized after purchasing. The wheels size were advertised as the OEM specs but it seems like the originals were taken off of my Sport GT and swapped with others. Granted, this truck was purchased at auction by Freedom, so not brand new nor Chevrolet, but this also should've been noticed by them before advertising the truck for sale. After literally 3+ hours of being there and taking off from work, I finally get to the finance office after negotiating trade in terms where I'm told that although it's a 2024 truck, the manufacturers warranty is voided since the truck is from Canada, BUT I can purchase one of their in-house warranties for an additional** monthly charge. This was the icing on the cake for me. I even asked the salesperson early on about the truck being from Canada when he showed me the "clean" carfax report (also advertised online as "clean.") I asked if that made a difference for anything and he said he wasn't sure. He was a newer salesperson, so I'm sure this is the case, but a voided manufacturers warranty is a huge deal and was never disclosed before agreeing to any terms. Now I'm almost 4 hours at this dealership, at the last step of the process in the finance office and put in a difficult situation of whether to leave or not. This is really something that should've been made clear from the get-go and not after signing paperwork. This is borderline predatory business practices if you ask me. Purchased a truck last month. Vehicle was very dirty inside and out upon arrival of the test drive. They promised it would be clean by the time we left. 4 hours later when its time to leave the vehicle wasnt touched and was still filthy. Also prior to this, speaking over the phone with Joseph, he stated that nothing needed to be done and all components and fluids were above 80% at dealer inspection. Come to find out I go to the oil life on the vehicle and it's at 18%. They gave me a "we owe you sheet" for an interior detail and oil change. Oil change was done but the other dealership they own, 21st century auto, they had every excuse in the book to not inspect the vehicle with me and the detail was subpar to say the least. None of the original discoloration in cloth seats were even attempted to be clean. There idea of a detail was a simple car wash and vacuum that i could have done on my own for $15. Freedom Chevrolet in Fort Montgomery, NY and 21st century auto group in Springfield, NJ are not good. read more

Buyer beware. 1) Internet prices are set low. They will tack on $2995 plus additional "dealer preparation fees." This is disclosed on the website, but scroll down. 2) They lure you in with great looking and well priced vehicles. The test drive will be stellar and the vehicle will be decked out with great features. But look under the hood and get underneath and you will see that these vehicles are rusted out beyond repair. They will then inform you that they "didn't know" and are "so embarrassed" that they will offer you a "great deal" on a newer vehicle, telling you that you can put down whatever you were willing to pay and then finance the rest. Classic bait and switch. 4) I was told that the vehicle I originally went to look at (Ram 1500) is in such bad condition that it could not be sold and would be taken off the lot. You would think that the staff at Freedom Chevrolet would read these terrible reviews from other would-be customers and take some corrective action. They most certainly are not and apparently don't care to! I have to say there are some real nefarious things going on there. I went to look at a beautiful 2015 Silverado 1500. The price listed on every website was $11,995. I drove the truck, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I was ready to talk about price. Joseph, the salesman, left me sitting at his desk while he "worked a great price for me". He came back with his proposal form with an additional $2995 included in the price. I asked Joseph what this additional fee was for? He explained that if I had put down $2995 that the price would have been $11,995, as advertised. I told him that was not in the original ad. He insisted it was. The fine print was all the way down in the disclaimer in the ad. I told him they were being very deceptive, but he didn't seem to care. They use "hard" sale tactics instead of being honest. I did make a small deal out of the fact that they were being deceptive, and I left without buying the truck. I don't recommend even buying a cup of coffee from this dealership. They'll charge you for the water and sugar and not tell you!! And then lie to you the whole time! read more

I had the same experience as the prior reviewer--they have fine print (only buried deep on their website, and the fine print was not provided by them on Autotrader): the "advertised" price is lower than the actual price by at least $3K. My experience is almost identical to a previous poster. The staff was very nice and tried very hard for our business. There was a $3000 bate and switch advertising thing never the less we came to a price and when we were all done singing the finance agreement they hit me with "the truck is from Canada and the warranty is void in the US but we can sell you an aftermarket warranty". The truck had 8,000 miles on it that was one of the reasons we were buying it.....for the warranty. During the test ride I asked the salesman if its still under warranty and he said "I think so" It was a 2024 Rebel with 8000 mile why wouldn't it be and I had no reason to think different. This is fraud and should be disclosed in the listing and on the Carfax. Their rebuttal was well its on the Carfax that its was built in Canada. that tells me and average Joe nothing how many brands of cars are built in other countries and have manufactures warranty So we had to purchase the warranty after the fact. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. I went to purchase a 2021 BMW 330i from them because of the price. I got there and the brakes were worn out. Service on the car said in 1400 miles it needs new brakes all around. The rear tires were also balding and just able to pass inspection. I told them of the issues and the manager from the start was nasty with me saying that I would need to take the car as is. Since I have training in automotive technology and worked at a BMW dealership before I said okay, but was then given outrageous rates to finance the car. I left and got approved at my bank for a car loan with an exceptional rate and called the dealership to inform them that Im coming back to finalize. Upon returning to the dealership the manager said that due to using a personal bank the car is now $3000 more. He also said their finance department will work with my bank but not for the rate I got approved for, because he said he is "losing money on the car with your rate" and that "the higher interest rate will make him money on the back end". I was furious up to that point because I drove 3 hrs back and forth to get the car. I said you know what lets split the difference since you told me the price was $23995 and he said nope, that he would sell the car by today and was not willing to work with me. I then left, walked out...and bought a certified pre-owned bmw 330i from BMW Ramsey NJ (which had much better customer service and rates). But this place was waste of time very rude manager!
