We have been with Todd Markman's Wilmette office for many years which attests to our satisfaction with this company. The staff are efficient and courteous and Sally has been our go to person for information and advice - she has always been a pleasure to talk with. When we discovered that our vehicle has been stolen. We were already under a great deal of stress due to a family medical condition which eventually caused the claims process to last much longer than expected. Sally was our rock from start to finish, she could not have been kinder or more helpful. When she first heard about our situation, she immediately filed the claim for us and contacted the rental car company. During the process she reviewed our policy with us, guided us through the paper work and answered our emails promptly, all the time giving us emotional support, In the final stage, she spoke with the first claims adjuster on our behalf, then conference called with us and the total loss claims adjuster. The whole experience felt like a marathon, and we were very thankful for her proactivity. Sometimes it was hard to realize that we weren't the only ones she was assisting. After a leak in my condo building caused extensive damage to my unit and left me without hot water, Pam did nearly nothing to help and showed absolutely no concern for my claim. When I filed a claim, I asked if someone from the agency or an adjuster could come to my unit to evaluate the damage fully. She refused. She gave me the name of an adjuster who did not contact me, even after I followed up with him and Pam every day for three days. Finally, on the third day, she said she gave me the wrong adjuster. She gave me a new adjuster who then also failed to contact me for days. Long story short, the entire process dragged on in this manner. After three weeks of this nonsense, I filed a complaint against Pam with the AllState home office. This seemed to get the ball rolling, but she had the nerve to leave me a nasty voicemail claiming that I had no reason to file the complaint. Then, she sent a renewal notice with a post-it note stating that my premium was going up. Since the corporate office did help me to get my claim resolved, I ended up staying with AllState. However, I've switched agents and hope that this one will be more useful. The bottom line is that I paid Pam for months for insurance coverage that she ultimately did not provide me. In addition to being a horrible, rotten person to work with, she did not live up to her word.
