Beware! Paid for our dream retirement home which had to be partially torn down and rebuilt, at our cost! This was after the local building inspector identified numerous deficiencies, and an engineering firm provided us with a report stating: "The building, as constructed, contains numerous significant structural defects; The extent and nature of the defects in the construction of the wood framing for this building are such that we would anticipate that it is likely more cost effective to dismantle the framing and reconstruct it, rather than attempts to repair the deficiencies in place." Free Log Homes refused to rectify these issues. We eventually had to commence a court action, and obtained a Judgement ordering Free Log Homes to reimburse us for our rebuilding costs. But they still refused to pay those costs, and we've been forced to spend even more of our fixed income trying to enforce our Judgment. read more
