A member of Stampfli counseled me over the phone about next steps for 15 minutes at no charge. She clearly just wanted to help. We meet with him on June 5 and gave him prior year tax documents. Weeks passed. My wife has called him multiple times to follow up, leaving voice mail each time. No reply. It's now late October and on Monday she went to the office to retrieve our files. He was at lunch and the receptionist said she'd have him call. It's Wednesday and we're still waiting. If you're a professional and want to pass on someone's business, do the professional thing and tell them.

I had the same issue with no communication throughout the whole time I was waiting on my tax return to be fulfilled. They also did not give me the Insight I need it about my tax return. Referring to a penalty that I had I never got any of my taxes whatsoever at all even though I could have simply filed a payment plan while filing my taxes I was not made aware of this so I missed out on everything! Those people obviously don't care about you or your tax money or the issues that you may be having in life they are simple-minded and non-professional I suggest if you're getting your taxes filed to go somewhere else especially like somewhere that cares about you and your issues that you have going on!

All he did was put a one page letter on documents I had to provide again after first giving them during the tax preparation . He said he put 9 hours of work into that at $304 an hour. For an experienced CPA? Really?

I met with Angel and she sounded unsure to me but I decided I needed a CPA so I went with them. She said we need a $400.00 retainer. HR block did my business taxes and only charged $300. So I figured that was good and there was no mention of any further expenses. I Got all my paperwork that I could to them by April 15. There was an extension so and they said I need to file one. I get a call finally May 15 the last day. I was on the road and this guy says I owe $12,000 pay now today or you suffer an IRS penalty. I was shocked. Then I was really shocked when I received a bill for over $3000.00. I use lawyers that didn't charge that amount. I feel the customer service is bad and when you do chat with them they are abrupt and demeaning. I told them the concerns and they did cut the price in half at my request. However when I asked for more copies even a digital copy they would not send it to me because of a personality conflict. Not a very good way to do busiines. The whole thing was a nightmare. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

She is also very responsive to specific questions we have had about tax implications of certain investments, family loans, etc. We have not really compared prices as it is difficult to do so without going in for a meeting, given the forms which are needed. She has also worked with our financial advisor to help with proactive tax mitigation strategies although in retrospect it would have been welcome had she offered this service in past years without it being requested.
