I literally went to Calais because I got my first passport at age 22 and thought 'I should probably use this'... Well, actually my girlfriend said 'you are using this'. But that's beside the point.
Either way, I ended up in Calais. I then ended up here. Now you'd think that, when leaving the country, you'd at least attempt to learn the language of wherever you are going... NOPE!

Either way, I ended up with a couple of pastries (there was a lot of 'that', accompanied by a pointed finger). They were extremely nice. Like, if I knew what I'd have ordered, I'd try and get some more. They were great.
If you are in Calais, go here. But first, learn some French... Then tell me what the awesome sponge squares full of fruit and jam are called... Because googling 'What are those french sponge things with fruit and jam in them called' was not particularly helpful.
